There's been a lot of games from my PS1 collection that I've wanted to look at in the past, but I never felt they would work as full reviews of their own.
So I decided to cover them all at once.

Fun fact; the first time I watched an episode of Cubix was the day 4Kids was LITERALLY counting down the last few episodes until the series was cancelled. Like, they had the announcer actually say that there were only a few episodes left and count them down until the series ended. And, I think they had a quick 5 second animation at the end where the Cubix characters all said "goodbye." It was the weirdest mix of advertising, honouring the series they had cancelled, and morbidly watching it die. 4Kids was dark.

Mentioning PBS Kids and Dragon Tales in this video made me feel a little nostalgic. I watched a buttload of that channel growing up and Dragon Tales was one of four shows I enjoyed the most when I was young. The other three being Clifford, Zoboomafoo, and Arthur. That said, I knew nothing of the PS1 as a kid, so color me surprised that that there was a game released for it.

I watched both Cubix and Dragontales when I was younger. One of the episodes of Cubix had a short genius using a robot mech suit to make himself taller, but he became brainwashed and acted like a bully after a significant amount of time. By the way, should Spiders: The Video Game be rated T or M?

Funny how you say that, as a fan of racing games, you haven't played Gran Turismo... Yet you played the game that the series creator - Kazunori Yamauchi - developed so that Sony would let him make Gran Turismo. That game was *Motor Toon Grand Prix.* (Though that said, the version we got was actually the second game; the first one was never released outside Japan.) How's that for an interesting fun fact? EDIT: And that's what I get for NOT watching the full video first.

I came here because I wanted to see if you were going to talk about an obscure game I played when I was too young to remember anything. I don't remember name, developer, release year, cover art, etc. But I have a vague memory of the gameplay. You play as man with a laser gun in a futuristic setting and sometimes your weapon would change. It wasn't cartoony or anything. It was third person, and it had platforming elements. I wish I can remember its name. It might have been the very first PS1 game I've ever played in my life.

I think every ''obscure'' PsOne title I have played are first experienced from old demo discs. Speed Freaks, or Speed Punks in NTSC release: overlooked kart racing game with characters having same kinda limbs Rayman has. Evil Zone: Woo boy if this fighting game isn't overlooked, I dunno what is. But this game's roster is pretty much filled with anime character tropes that were common in animes back in 90's, seriously, the game's poster character is a sentai with Duke Nukem's voice actor. And ALL the attacks in the game are done with triangle button and with the help of different directional buttons ya can do different attacks, while blocking is done with square button. Kula World: expect Swedish to make a puzzle game like this. And it's fun. In this game ya play as a mere ball and move it around floating levels to collect fruits to get to the goal.(this game is also available as a PsOne Classic for PS3, physical copies are RIDICILOUSLY expensive) Rat Attack: Another puzzle game, but the difference is that this one's also available for N64. In this game, ya choose a cat character, each feline having specific strenghts and weaknesses, and gather the required amount of alien rats from levels before they chow down and ruin the furniture from the level. Out of all games I listed, this is the ONLY game that I don't own.

When it comes to a potential sequel to this list, AKA a list about obscure PS2 titles, one that comes to my mind is literally just that: a game known as ObsCure, which was also on the Xbox. I'm still looking for a copy of that game, but one thing I can tell you is that the story is really messed up, and the sequel is possibly even more so. It's about a mutagen created from a strange plant, and apparently this plant turns people into vampires since they become weak to light. Also apparently, that plant was turned into narcotic in the sequel, Obscure: The Aftermath. It's also a co op horror game with an extensive item combination mechanic, though apparently, that wasn't enough to make reviews much more than so-so in terms of scoring.

About the Two TVs and Two PS1s for multiplayer... The original Wipeout and its sequel, 2097 (Basically Playstation F-Zero... except more fun in my opinion) ALSO had this quirk. It's a good thing they used the ol' fashioned split-screen for Wipeout 3 and onwards... aside from Pure and Pulse on PSP, and the Vita game... yeah, I like the Wipeout games, especially Wipeout Pure. I remember watching that show as well. All I can recall from it was the villains were played by Christopher Lloyd and Gilbert Gottfried.

I’ve played Kula World thanks to Demo Disc 1, I own a physical copy of Intelligence Cube/Kurushi which still works by the way and thanks to Demo Disc 49 I was introduced to Speed Freaks and Rat Attack both of which I also own

Kula World and Speed Freaks, as far as I know, are SOMEWHAT recognizable by today's audience. Well, in my country anyway. I myself am aware of all those games. Kula World is a fun Swedish puzzle game, Kurushi's demo version was one of the creepiest things on PsOne back in my childhood, Micro Maniacs is the only meh among the bunch(and the only one of these games ya listed that I didn't first experience as a demo). And then there's Speed Freaks; very overlooked kart racing game with perhaps one of the most IRRITATING final bosses I have EVER faced. But I still refer Speed Freaks as one of my favourite racing games.

@@jamesgriffin7962 ah so lots of demo versions of the games i mention interesting i played Kula World when i was younger and micro manics when i was a little older same for speed freaks as for I.Q i played a demo of that and then got a ISO of the file for Epsxe to emulate it

@@nifinland i think it was creepy cause of the lack of music and that daunting bell at the start of the stage the full version one is somewhat a little more cheerful as for speed freaks final boss yes i to agree its rough but if you beat it i say it proves your on of the best speed freak players thoe it pales in comparison to CTR and its Oxide ghosts as for Micro Manics i enjoyed it for it being somewhat different when it comes to the micro machines franchise but those last stages can just bugger off that A.I difficutly ugh

@@KeiraLunarYeah, Kurushi's demo was precicely creepy because of lack of music and only has the unsettling sounds in the game and that unsettling game over.
