It would also be neat if one of the trenches had a little dugout for its occupants, solders live in these trenches you know! also dead bodies, SO many dead bodies in no mans land, with how long this war has been gong on the ancient dead lost in no mans land man as well be a tripping hazard.

I've gone in heavy on Trench Crusade. Even bought my first 3D printer just so I can have unlimited minis. One thing I did pick up was the Warlord Games Ruined Hamlet set, and a Churchill tank. Plan to use the tank as scenery. Cover it in barbed wire, profane hellish symbols, a flayed crucified body. Just a New Antioch tank despoiled.

Looks great, I particularly dig those bits and sandbags on the top, definitely sells the trenches. I will say, I'll cast my meager vote towards the balsa vertical beams. To me, those are such iconic elements to trenches, help tell the story of their structure, plus break up the long stretches of blank wall. That said, definitely dig where you have them and look forward to seeing what you add!

Adding dead bodies or ruined vehicles like a downed tank or motor bike. And barbed wire is a nice touch too. Broken lines from motor impacts a such. Or scattered boards with barbed wire attached.

Makeshift bridges to go over the trenches would be a good idea for scatter terrain, perhaps some bullet ridden out of commison vehicles to block line of sight or the large corpses of demons/angels?

These are really great. One thing I'd add to make them even more interesting is sewers. I'd cut the block in half vertically and built underground sewer lines half in each end so when you open them up you can see inside. I don't know if it makes any sense the way I describe it but if it does, it will look very cool.
@BlackMagicCraftOfficial8 күн бұрын
I don't think sewer lines in the european front during ww1 make sense. Why would they be there?
@MilouJean8 күн бұрын
@@BlackMagicCraftOfficial ok maybe not sewers but trenches dug underground. My idea was to see terrain open in half and reveal hideouts

@MrSJPowell8 күн бұрын
@@BlackMagicCraftOfficial Not sewers, but sappers were very much a thing, trying to dig under no-man's land to attack from below. Edit: and yes, bunkers were 100% a thing as well. They didn't just sit with open sky.

Absolutely in love with this terrain! I can not wait to see how you will "Trench Crusade it up" a lot! If you are looking for some additional inspiration, I highly recommend the Art for "The Forever Winter" since they share some design similarities. One question tho: If I were to make a Trench Board like yours, but wanted to simulate Tank treads without owning a Tank model to push into my texture paste, how would you achieve the look of tank treads using other items? I was thinking of taking some wooden dowels and pushing them in with equal spacing.
