Tobago has the distinction of the being the most fought over Caribbean island by the colonizing countries (England, Dutch, French, Spanish, Coorlanders). It changed hands 33 times. These power fought bloody for Tobago. There is even a beach called 'Bloody Bay' where the bay was red with the blood of those who fought and died for this piece of real Estate called Tobago. When East Indians came to Trinidad there was already a THRIVING Black Muslim community in this country made up of Free Africans that paid their way and came to Trinidad along with those that were FREE and the formally enslaved, which formed the Black Population here in Trinidad, most East Indian Met the religion and were CONVERTED right Here in Trinidad by these very same Black Muslims ........so much so that these East Indian Converts were Rediculed by their Hindu Brothers by saying that they were "worshipping a [ N racial slur] God" . Many even tried to introduce the religious hate and violence that exist in India between Hindu and Muslims here in Trinidad but Thank God we never reached to THAT...Why? .........Because "God is ah TRINI" ........Peace and Love OUT!
