Oh Hell yeah! I listen to his music to make the good times better and the bad times not so bad! I also like to listen to Blackmoores Night for about 30 mins before heading to ren faires( I love those places!) It really helps get you into the mindset and enjoy the events more.

Candace wasn't yet born when Ritchie and Deep Purple created some of their greatest hits. Ritchie just turned 78 yesterday. I hope he can continue to play at such a high level for years to come. Candace provides inspiration to do new things.

In my opinion when Paco De Lucia died, Richard Blackmore became the best classical guitarist alive. If you want to think of pop/rock terms, then maybe you could've given a couple extra years to Prince. But since he has passed as well, in my opinion he holds that title pretty much uncontested now as well.

Like many have commented, I have listened to Ritchie Blackmore since the early 70, in middle school(about 10/11 years old) we really started listening to Deep Purple especially the live Material, that line up with Jon lord, Ian Gillian, Ritchie Blackmore, etc was simply one of the best musical acts on the planet, Rainbow 🌈, with Ronnie James Dio, thank the Lord for Tape recording , Cassette and Reel to Reel. His writing style was always cutting edge, but this dive into history, beautiful vocals, tunes with a hook that keeps a person wanting more. Thank you RB,

Been listening to Richie since his Deep Purple days in 1972. Been blessed to have such a great guitarist in my life to listen too. Even had the honor once of listening to his inaugural tour of Rainbow in Tulsa in the 1980s when he melded part of Kansas with part of Deep Purple. My girlfriend was standing on a chair behind me and dancing all the way through the set. Now he is doing this medieval music because he needs to be around family and he is getting older, in his 80's and you could never tell it. Glad he is happy even though I miss the two other groups but, still get to listen to the GATES OF BABYLON though. Great stuff.

I came across this version of 'The Circle' by chance. Despite being a massive Blackmore fan but this version is superior from all members, the vibrations in the air is magnificent, the song is so tight between the musicians and that is the most important element. Candice's performance is exceptional and Blackmore's solo is not on the studio version and I love that. I remember seeing them in Trento, Italy back in 2008 and was on the first row, jumping like a little boy all over the place with joy. I haven't noticed how good the lyrics are before and I don't know why. All I can say this is magnificent and I will transcribe that solo as this is one of those moments that Ritchie is flooring us all with his talents.

+Michiel Rose: Hi Michiel, I'm Joel.....a long longtime Tucson fella. Been here since '61...when Tucson was around 200K people max. Anyhow, yes.....I was there seeing Richie et al at the big Tucson Community Center arena.....which was almost brand new in the early 70's. I was in high school in '71-72 and grad. in '73. If I had to guess....you and I likely saw him in '72. Still love "Highway Star". Obviously, I'm still a hard rocker....never grew outta that, and no apologies.....and here I am in KZbin age almost 68 and still looking for Richie Blackmore to soothe my soul. Surfed into this band of his and oh man....I DIG IT bigtime! Ireland, Scotland, etc. is my bloodline, and I swear some of this music just goes to my core. What a blessing to be able to experience it. Wish I could see it done live, I'd pay top dollar for front row seats if they ever got here to Tucson. God Bless us all. God Bless America, as well. jbeinarizona
