I liked the social commentary on technology too. I think the show just gets chopped up however Nick wants it even if that means halloween episodes over Christmas or incomplete arcs / seasons.

I know a great prediction of how April goes dark. So April is fascinated by the soul fragment at first, but after remembering what happened on the planet of the Aeons, she is afraid of what happens if she embraces it, so she locks it away in a box. But later on, the gang faces an enemy that is too much for them to handle. So in order to defeat the enemy, April completely embraces the power of the fragment to save her friends and defeat the enemy, but becomes corrupted in the process. Obsessed with her new powers, April vows to bring peace to the universe and destroy all of the Triceratons, the Kraang, and the Foot no matter what the cost. Now the Turtles, Casey, and their allies need to stop April's rampage and free her from the fragment. It will be interesting to see Donnie become hesitant to fighting April since he knows that they may need to destroy her(which won't happen since she is a part of the Turtles history), but he manages to snap April out of it. Now that would be an awesome Dark April story.

What would've made the temple scene more like Indiana Jones, is if some sort of Giant bolder began chasing everyone, possibly followed by either Mikey or Casey (or the both of them) either getting stuck on the bolder, or on top of the bolder.

Yes! I totally agree with you, Andre! This episode would have worked better if they played it not long after the last one. I feel like the wait between episodes is actually ruining the series for me in a way. And while I understand, and am glad that part of it is due to the rise in the production quality, I would prefer to view them on a set weekly schedule. But despite all that, I enjoyed this episode, especially the small scene between Leo and Raph. Dem turtle feels.

just an FYI, raph is not using a sai currently :) its an old weapon/tool called a Jutte (Jitte), similar to a sai, but different in some uses. just like mikey has moved into tonfa's.

Yeah, that foreshadow at the end has me pretty psyched. She did have that pretty intense moment after she saw Splinter killed where she exploded. I'm wondering how they'll go about it. I'm hoping we'll get to actually see her turn to the dark side. I'm a bit wary, since we have time travel on the show, she'll see her future self and it'll be one of those "what could be" scenarios, but I'd prefer to see an arc where she has to deal with the consequences of her actions.

I can really relate to the technology controlling us theme. For a week I stayed away from social media to avoid Star Wars spoilers and after I saw the movie I didn't really want to go back. It was very refreshing.

As far as tone goes this is probably one of the darkest episodes of tmnt yet. We saw Mikey with rabies, the planet itself was pretty dark in color, everyone was fighting with everyone, the robot got its arm chopped and then straight up kills someone?! No one questions it. He was there one min then next....a pile of dust. Man the show staff are really trying to push what they can and can't do on the show. Heck last season splinter actually died! Well time travel fixed that of course but he's still dead. Also because the turtles went back in time is there another version of them protecting New York while they are in space? If not, are they just M.I.A from earth for the time being? Who is there to stop the shredder from taking over New York? They may have saved the world from the black hole but when they get back it may not be in the same shape as they left it. They might come back to find out the kranng and shedder joined forces again or they are at war with each other.

I don't think that message of the episode was against technology, but against our desires toward technology and power it gives us. The blakc hole generator wasn't evil itself after all, wasn't it? And despite of what Aeons said, they have been using techonology...how else would they build those pyramids? That's quite a good message, in a face of modern era of science, where most of technology is't really necessary, and the scientific progress that is, is being intentionally destroyed (MIT destorying Cold Fusion research)

See this is the main reason I end up downloading all the episodes, I never know when it's on, when new episodes will air, how long between episodes, etc. I'd buy the seasons as well, but no, they have to release volumes for 4 episodes at a time instead of what every other series does normally.
