Awesome video. I just wished I would have watched this before I went in and spent a grand on my gear. So many people want to talk down on buying Sitka because of the price but when you start looking around for cold weather hunting gear you quickly realize that the price is typical of good hunting gear. Look at scent lock. It’s the same price on cold weather gear. What I love about Sitka is it’s so comfortable. What grabbed my attention though is the pattern. I love it and that’s what got my attention and this was before you seen the brand marketed on hunting shows. But the clothing is super comfortable, the pockets are placed with the hunter in mind, and it’s made to be layered. I got the fanatic pants and shirt and I can easily put the bibs over top without it even being bulky. This is the best clothing. Period. I also have the bino harness and it’s the best. I’ve owned 6 different types of bino harnesses and there was always something I didn’t like. When I got the Sitka bino harness it’s hands down the best. I have no complaints. It fits 100x better than any other brand I’ve tried. I just simply love this gear. I just have to go in to get a couple more things and I’ll have what I need. It just takes time to save the money to buy this stuff especially when you have a wife and 3 kids with bills. You can’t say it’s really affordable. But you can say it’s the best.

Thanks for sharing this. Ive have moved away from First Lite after many years and have started picking up pieces of Sitka. I live in NW Wyoming and First Lite just doesn't stand up to more than a season. I have a 20 years in backpacking and bc skiing/mountaineering so layering is not a problem. Will you go into depth on the specific pieces and how they were designed to layer in the Sitka System? I already own the Apex hoody, mountain vest, timberline pants and jet stream jacket. Any other thoughts?

I think it’s best to mix and match. I love FL base layers and there Vapor Stormlite Jacket is a good packable rain jacket. There are so many great products on the market too, so options and combinations are endless. Plus, if you’re primarily hunting ungulates, you don’t need camouflage. So you can get some added functionality from other pieces that isn’t solely for hunting.

@@joeybennett1491 Thanks Joey. I agree with FL base layers. I really like their 3/4 bottoms. I use camo during the archery season here and found Sitkas Subalpine supreme for mule deer and elk in the areas I hunt. I still use Patagonia 3L shells and Norrona pants during rifle seasons. Cant beat a combined hundred years of gear design.

It's the stormfront coming back? How about a aerolite heavy hoody?

The Stormfront is still in the line, but you should see need rainwear from Sitka down the road.
