Altitude GTX is THE best boot I have ever owned. I whitetail public land hunt in hill country and turkey hunt. LOTS and LOT of walking in hill country. Can walk all day without sore feet. Feet always stay 100% dry. Best lacing system I have ever had. When I finally wear out I will buy another pair ASAP.

Just tried on nearly every option from Crispi and this was the boot that felt like a perfect match for my foot. Left one of them on as I tried/compared others and literally forgot it was on my foot -- all I could think of is the other boot.

Great review. I’m trying to justify another boot when my other crispys are still holding up and not failing! Haha

I have the Lapponias 1 and Nevadas. How will these feel compared and work compared?

Never owned those, but have tried them on for extended periods of time -- mainly the Nevada. I felt much better in the Altitude. It fits more like a part of your body rather than on your body if that makes sense. I really like the Nevada style and it being all leather, but it walked like a ski boot too much for me and the top of the boot is square so it dug into the back of my leg. The Altitude is nearly same height, but top of the boot angles down to the rear.

Just bought these for a mule deer hunt in Idaho. My search came down to the Lapponia III and the Altitude. The Altitude feel more like a sneaker/glove and are VERY VERY comfortable. In comparison, the Lapponia are also comfortable but definitely fit more like a boot. IMO, the downside on the Lapponia is there are 4 pairs of metal lacing channels (instead of traditional metal eyelets) that run clear down to your toes. The lowest inner channels were poking into my toes when bending/squating. So I went with comfort first and chose the Altitude. HOWEVER, the lacing system of the Altitude I do not care for. It is traditional eyelets that are on most sneakers and make it (more) difficult to tighten the laces, but I believe that is also what makes them so comfortable. Regardless, comfort is my main concern as we will be packing loads over several miles. Hope this helps. Good luck.
