I feel like Forza is definitely above NFS, there are drift lobbies and for the average person, you’re going to make money fast, it’s not too difficult to get into the drifting and as the Pants man mentioned, you can build ANYTHING into a drift car.

carx has so much to offer, im an og of carx and i can say im never bored of it, the amount of content, replayability and mods + cheap price its just the best overall for me, cause i know its potential, the others are great too but they have limited content, while carx its almost infinite to me

Problem is the lack of countesteering inputs in the game, make it way too easy and less rewarding. I'm not saying that frustration is fun, but give out skills for nothing also can make many people tired of it in few days.

@@663s I don't know how is the game right now, but when I used to play, there was 2 options: no steering assist at all, or no countesteering. I'm not fully against steering filter for controller inputs, but no steering assist makes it unplayable on the controller. It was 8 or 80.

Im going to have to disagree with the depth with Unbound against GTA, i would argue that there is no throttle control required for Unbound's drifting, and you can hold left and you spin on the spot, its no doubt most accessible to all of them, even the games that dedicate to drifts as they'd put some detail in theirs

I might sound like a Forza fanboy, but here goes: To me, Forza is my fave, because you can both drift around in free roam, and there's also online drift lobbies. Plus you have the Live events which are also sometimes only about drifting. And not to forget all the custom community maps too. And not to mention, the physics are simply Juicy (Plus the customization has been slowly expanding, both performance and looks wise). (And yes I'm aware of all the negatives about Forza, lack of innovation, bland map etc etc...). My list would be: S: Forza and Car x A: GTA and NFS B: The Crew

Forza's drift is more realistic. Unbound offers an arcade style and easier gameplay. That's why you may not enjoy Forza Horizon because it is difficult.But I guarantee you will enjoy it much more once you get used to it.

I don't really like fh5 but i would still say that it probably has the best drift handling out of the bunch listed here and besides carx, has in depth tuning that you can use to tailor the car to your style of drifting and to also maximise the potential of the car. 2nd would be Unbound in terms of fun since you can drift around in freemode too. idk just rambling lmao

Btw Theo FH5 does have drift racing. Its called Drift Adventure and I think its in the Horizon Life section of the pause menu.

If you’d turn on the controller assist on car x it’s so much better. The game was built around a wheel so if you turn on the controller assist it feels like a wheel on controller

Need for speed doesn't even have steering wheel support with force feedback. What's the point of a racing game that doesn't have wheel support post 2020? CarX has actually really good feedback for wheel drivers. Are we also not going to discuss Assetto, which is where most people drift anyways? Pretty sure Japanese Drift Master would also destroy everything on this list. Also what about Overdrift Festival, which is very similar to CarX.

By the way, about Gran Turismo. I used to drift in 5, 6 and Sport, but i heard that GT7 is way more difficult, almost as hard as GT4. And i dont like the smoke effect in GT7, was a huge downgrade compared to GT Sport smoke model. Also, theres a new physics in the last update, im curious to know how is drifting now.

Best drifting game not many people know about, but it's a basic game unfortunately is D1 Grand prix for ps2. It has real drifting in it and especially for the tutorial section it teaches you real life drifting. a member of Team Orange(don't know who) practiced on this game back in the day and that's how he became a menber.

First question is why can't there be more than one car in S and B tier when there is in A? I also think from a depth of gameplay standard CarX definitely takes the dub. Tuning alone should really give it the win because even if you throw the ultimate tune on some of those cars they refuse to drift properly and some tweaks need to be made to make it work. I can't say the same for Unbound as you can hoon around in a B class car which imo feels so low on power that it shouldn't be able to get sideways at all. GTA is whatever. It certainly isn't the worst drifting I've felt in a game but it never stood out amongst the others in the list. Me personally I hated Motorfest's drifting. What kind of car game puts you in drift races with THEIR OWN CARS not your own and then tells you to drift with traction control on by default. Holding drifts are weird and maybe it's because I was playing the game in the early days but even if I had clear space between obstacles and be it would still mark as a hit and end my point collection which felt clunky as hell. Forza has the best drifting for a car game not about drifting in my opinion. I love Unbound way more than I could ever love Forza but I will say that Forza's drifting and the tuning you need to make it happen properly is top tier. If I had to rank them I would go S- CarX and Forza B- Unbound C- The Crew Motorfest
