I still think that actively notifying the player that a Rhino is incoming ruins the immersion of the game and the difficulty factor of pursuits, as Rhinos are supposed to shut you down quick and out of nowhere.

Yeah I always liked back in Most Wanted and Carbon how you actually had to pay attention to the cop chatter on the radio to figure out what the police were gonna throw at you next. More of a subtle way of letting the player know whats going on.

The stance tune is definitely different, I am absolutely positive that the game developers didn’t add caster and toe tuning to the game. If anything your trying to fix caster, camber and toe because those things has to do with your vehicles alignment.

I like to defeat the police but then again Payback started feeling like Burnout Paradise just with cops. I beat the game and after that it wasn't much to do other then defeat the wandering racers. Mods help the game but that's all they can do is help. Like NFS as a title can't really do anything. A broken apart car is cool to a point. Without a good story or anything NFS is basically a faster driving GT. NFS has so much potential but they don't use it. The next game will probably be a failure. Probably be less story and more races that feel the same. Might be less cars too.

I dont know if it was intentional, but back before payback came out there was a big thing about ghost getting upset because ea wanted them to put microtransactions into the game. So ghost changed the story to be about taking down a highly illegal casino (or a gambling ring which is basically what microtransactions are) as i said dont know if it was intentional but if it was, good on you ghost, rest in peace

The graphics in this game look better as the color grading and shaders are a bit more subtle and believable than HEAT cuz in that u literally get extra shiny roads and purple skies.

It's designed to be enjoyable way more I agree. Map is bigger, cops are more professional and actually feel more rogue, plus it also has MESH IMPORT functions on Frosty Editor where we make our mods.

One thing I like about this game you can enjoy the pursuit cos you can take em out and not worry about damage. What they should do is make cops aggressive and get rid of damage bar next game

Good thing is this, when you crash into cop cars in payback, your car health remains the same, of course the car looks battered and raggedy, but it still moves, unlike NFS heat, try running into a level 5 heat cop car, or even rhino in palm city, at night; and see what happens to your car lmao.

I found a money glitch when this game came out but you need to have your first car and any other car so 3 cars you need to go I to your garage with the first car Yiu get sell it then leave the garage then if it's still working go back into the garage and it should be back then Yiu can keep selling it and leaving then back in and it keeps giving you money I don't know if it still works it's been a while but my first ever money glitch I found is that and I'm pretty proud of it so if anyone still plays try give it a go and let me know if it's still working if any of this made scene

I bloody hate Payback, but i might as well try it again just to see mods, and since i got EA Play might as well make most out of it. Id say this might be more fun, since unlike Heat you have no damage and cops are killable, so its just your Wits and nothing else... LIKE HOW IT SHOULD BE!

There are mods to disable damage for racers in Heat, but I like Payback cause it feels more NFS-like.

Need for speed payback was a good game but the lack of cops driving around and start a pursuit without having to be in a event or collect a base crate made me hate it
