We take three different builds of the same car and put them head to head (to head) to see if GRIP is FINALLY better than drift in NFS Heat.

I just want to say that it is fully possible to slide with a grip car, look at F1 and other racing series where grip is everything, and yet they slide from time to time, that is just how atleast a rear wheel drive car handles

That's the "Metallic" slider part of the Exhaust Tuning. It's basically just echo, adding a little bit on some engines does give a little extra flare to it, but in throatier engines (like the Mustang's V8) it's way to noticeable. Yes, you are correct, those are the all-famous American Racing VN615 Torq Thrust Mk2. In Payback those were also it's stock wheels.

In carbon, some people said the suspension tuning is reversed (put understeer to be more oversteer, put oversteer to be more understeer). It make sense if you win it.

Another way to eliminate sliding while using full grip is to go to live tuning and turn on traction control. I saw Domestic Mango use a grip build of the the Testarossa and when he turned traction control on, the thing would not slide, it was just glued to the road.

Looks like none of the youtubers opened the live tuning menu and saw the "stability control" option. That thing will stop you from sliding no matter how hard you try, it even was in Payback and had the exact same effect back then.

I like hooning around, drift and stuff - you know, it's fun. But I'm glad to see a good grip physics behaviour. I mean, it's really hard to drift in a way where you can get faster and as precise as a grip handling, but in the last games the grip vs drift handling just doesn't made sense. Now we can get it right, I suppose. I gonna hoon as hell in Palm City, of course, but I finally hope that I will feel good with a good grip car (like at TC2 hypercars).

If you hop in a rwd car thats set up for grip only, cut the wheel and drop the clutch, it will still "drift" or at least break the back end loose. Something like an f1 car can easily spin out with slightly too much throttle or too little brake. but it still has crazy grippy tires and downforce

It just looks like, Race, is tuning for Understeer, like stiffer springs in the front then back, then the normal front/rear ratio, and doing other things to create Understeer, more stable, but harder to turn. Choosing parts, that move the graph more towards Drift, is doing the opposite. Giving the the rear stiffer springs, more rear tire pressure for less grip, slower shock rebound so it will skip over tiny bumps, slightly higher ride height then the front so there's less weight on the rear, and other tuning tricks, to create Oversteer tendencies.
