Agreed. Go all in with roleplay mechanics upon completion (working indicators etc), more styling options other than the hidious Forza style ones. The Maxton ones were honestly refreshing. Allow us to better alter our exhaust note for added customization. It's widely regarded as an open racer with some of the best mechanics, it just lacks sounds and replayability.

I kinda have the same problem with The crew motorfest which is the reason why I stopped playing it. Since I never got the time to actually platinum the summit I always miss out on cars and to me that's just not the point of a racing game where the focus is to experience the cars. Course there is the shop where you can buy the cars with tickets but the grind is just awful. FOMO is just shit in these games. It would be better to achieve cars by challenges and races, which you can play anytime regardless of the season.

The crew motorfest only puts special edition cars into their summit. So it's not like you're missing out too much. The base models are usually already in the game and you can buy them with credits.

Honestly, if it were up to me, I'd keep the festival playlist, but have the cars you'd get from it be added to the autoshow a month later or something. That way if you miss the playlist you can still get the car a little later (and you will know exactly when you can get it) and for those people who put the effort in can get the car early. Honestly it would probably be really easy to implement. Now there's something else I want to mention, and Theo I love you but this just plays on my mind. The Crew Moterfest has a far worse system for some of its cars where not only is it fomo, but it's based on a leaderboard with other players so only a limited number of players can get it. To be fair this is only the case for some of motorfest's cars but even so. Sometimes I feel like your unfairly biased against Horizon, I mean people have their preferences but still, obviously I'm not saying you shouldn't criticize Forza, you should absolutely should, critiquing something is how Devs can learn how to make something better, but I feel like you let other games off more easily for worse.

Man, seeing the comments I'm kinda confused. I kinda play with a friend on a weekly basis, we go trough the seasonal championships , the trial and maybe some horizon open races and we have a lot of fun every single time. The thing that you can do all the "campaign" races in coop is the main reason we got hooked on it and if you know of another racing game that lets you do that,please do tell. I'm not obsessed with collecting all the cars or anything, it's just about having fun and gotta say, FH5 is the most fun i had in a racing game in years.

@@BlackPanthaa You can get every car in nfs by grinding and paying the $15 or modding. In fh you will eventually have access to every car like they did with fh4 recently. Doing the math, if they add a car every week in fh5 and as it takes usually 20min, you only need around 17-18h a Year. That's what you need to unlock one car and all it's bodykits in the current pass in nfs. So again, you are complaining for no reason when you happily do it in other games.

FH5 I am forced to get check every week for mostly cars I do not care about, I'm going to get burned out. Neither system is flawless, one clearly interests me more and that's okay. I think this auction house issue could be solved quite easily. Just by adding a couple of features. Feature #1- a wanted page. Jusy have the option of players to say "here i want this car, these are the credits I'm willing to pay for it". Just place the ad indefinitely and just wait. Hopefully, eventually, someone will scroll through the wanted ads needing some cash, ot to make some space, and the car will just show up eventually. Feature #2 trading. List the car you want and what yoh are willing to trade it for. If someone wants your GT3 for a turbo S then the trade is initiated.

Theo, actually you CAN do the week you want. But at the same time it feels illegal. Basically, what you have to do is: 1st - turn off your wifi 2nd - change the date/month/year (its used to do the exact week you want) 3rd - jump into the game with still turned off wifi and do the challenges, after that you should have it. 4th - (it may be bannable, you have to check a bit more)

There's a 168 hours in a week or more than 10,000 minutes, so if you can't set aside 30 of those to get a car whose problem really is it. Plus, they're re-releasing cars quite often and if not, they're coming hot in the backstage pass these days. Alternatively, when the hype dies down a bit (1-2 months after the car has been released), the auction house will calm down a little bit. I'm sitting on 2 992 GT3 RS' and 3 Dakars by sniping for about 4-5 mins per car. It's a bit of a FOMO tactic but as someone who can miss 30 minutes per week (and I work two jobs for 45+ hours) it shouldn't be too difficult. And if you don't get a car, big deal. It will reappear at some point. I don't think there's anything wrong with some minimal effort to be the first to get a certain car.

They did, if you play the hide and seek like 20 times, you can get the bronco raptor. How many of those are in the auction house. I'll wait. Fact is, yes, it causes you to do the playlist. But on avg, it takes less than 15 minutes to get the cars. The turbo s took 9 minutes.
