so i really don't know a whole lot about the CM game mode. does overwatch take the AI's place in terms of gameplay and general feel of it? minus talking like a robot, of course.

Overwatch is boring as shit, it's just camera shuffling and forwarding orders and relaying info to CO, while AI gets a whole lot of cool gimmicks and control of every electronic on the station.

It's more like pAI 3/4ths and 1/4ths AI, where you are pretty much there to help the captain (I forgot the lingo) but your utilities are for the Marines mostly. You're just a -infofunnel- logistics guy watching a bunch of mediocre mooks rush to their deaths, mostly at their own hands and occasionally helping them with "coordination" and supplies.

In CM, there is no player AI. You have an automated AI that does scans and announcements. You have synths, that are robotic player characters - very skilled in everything, but unable to use guns. Overwatch is just watching the game from the squad's perspective, plus giving orders, dropping supplies, coordinating everything.
