this is just gonna be my little progress thing for learning this dance. quarantine had me being a lazy ass and i didn’t practice my dance at all, so i’m very rusty. also, this isn’t my dance style so it was a challenge. day 1: started at around 10:00pm, had to keep rewatching part one. i learned all of part one, but it definitely needs fine tuning. it’s a bit hard, doing it without a mirror, but i’m scraping by. i got it full speed at 10:35pm. day two: i ended up being really busy and didn’t have time to learn anything new! i went over part one a few times and i feel better about it. really disappointed i didn’t get to add any more counts though. day three: i learned part two! jennie’s part was alright, but lisa’s part was Hard towards the end. i don’t have a mirror in my room, but i kinda feel like a gorilla when doing the hip movements at “keep it fresh like roses”. i started at 8:05pm and ended around 8:40pm, but i’m gonna keep practicing and hope it gets more comfortable and less awkward. (oh btw i didn’t get it up to full speed) day four: i finished learning part two full speed! i didn’t go into part three, but i reviewed part one and two. today i got to practice in front of a mirror, and improved a lot of things. all of the hip movements is harder and looks more awkward for me, but i think i improved them today. just a lil’ bit. day six: ahhh i forgot yesterday!!! this week of school is being a bitch. it’s literally the third week, why are the teachers giving so much homework. i’m still currently doing homework, so i didn’t learn anything new. i did go over for like, 15 minutes. 😰 day seven: School work has my head pounding, but I managed to squeeze in 20 minutes of practice time! I reviewed for like 3 minutes, and spent the rest of the time learning part three. I only got a little part, but it's better than nothing. I hope by the weekend I'll have plenty of time to learn! day eight: pulled an all nighter and fell asleep in class. whoops. day nine: tired out of my ass, but managed to practice for like. fifteen minutes. stress is really getting to me on just the third week of school :( day ten: it’s friday!!!! i managed 30 mins of practice and parts 1-3 are looking pretty good. i’m like, utterly exhausted, and mental health first so i’m gonna relax and take care of myself. i’ll be learning more tomorrow ! day eleven: saturday, woo! i put in a whole hr/ into practicing today. i might keep going, tbh. but for now, parts 1-2 are great and part 3 is fully learned and up to speed. I'm really sweaty but i'm pretty happy rn. and, if anyone is reading this who wants to lose weight and exercise, you should definitely try learning a dance. great cardio! day twelve and thirteen: i totally forgot o update lmaoo 💀 yesterday i spent some time just having fun, stretching, and dancing to this for exercise. today i started learning part four but it’s monday again and that means school :( fourteen: i practiced the dance in heels. i swear i’ve never been this out of breath and it probably has to do with my inactiveness from quarantine. fifteen: I've decided to not count school days anymore because I'm simply too busy and exhausted. this means I only get weekends, but I'm going to try my best. I learned all of part three (at full speed) and started part four. I learned all of it, but it needs work. sixteen (although technically its been like a week): finished part four at full speed! might keep going, since i realized this is actually taking me way longer than i expected. i should've started when the song came out, that way there would be no school and i would be done in like, a week. Either way, im having a lot of fun learning the dance so i'm not complaining. seventeen: part 5 was really easy, and 6 wasnt too bad. so i learned them both! i'm still a little disappointed in how long this is taking me, but i'm getting there. i really want to learn lovesick girls too, so that's something to look forward to. eighteen: no school today! so i learned part 7 :> ninteen: i didn't have a lot of time because i have a giant project due, but i realised ive been learning a lot and today i decided to just review everything and get it more smooth. Started learning part 8. twenty: busy week, reviewed the dance and finished part 8. I'm so close and yet i don't have the time to finish :( twenty one: I FINISHEDDDD BITCHES AHAHAAA that took way way longer than i was expecting but like i guess i wasn't expecting school to be so taxing either,,,, this was really really fun and im definitely flexing on my friends

@@naia8516 honestly the only reason it took me so long was because i spent so little time each day learning it, but on days where i had time it took me like an hour to be able to dance a part up to speed. don’t give up !
