She was trained as a rapper yet she still sings loads in songs, she was basically trained to also be a vocalist to some extent too so she shouldn't have been this bad. I still cut her slack though cos every singer has their bad moments and good moments and Jennie had one bad moment, doesn't compare against all her amazing moments so people need to be more understanding honestly

What Jennie does on stage is difficult. She sings, raps, and dances. She is the only Blackpink member who does these things all at the same time. Lisa raps too but she is only subvocals. Rosé and Jisoo sing but they don't rap. So don't you ever underestimate Jennie's capabilities. What she does is not an easy task.

In case you don't know, RAPPING TAKES A LOT OF BREATH, that's why main rappers in kpop are only subvocals and the fact that Jennie does all these things makes it more difficult for her.

Her technique isn’t solid enough for Broadway.... She needs to learn how to properly belt because she’s straining a lot which could damage her voice in the long term, sadly. Not to mention her breathing technique. Her voice is great, but her agency needs to seriously show her how to protect her voice.

Started off so good… but damn she was so nervous her voice was shaking and her mouth must be dry poor thing… but she was able to pick it back up and slay it! Honestly she’s got a very powerful voice with a gorgeous rich tone… it’s also deeper than ppl realize and I think that’s why I love it so much. Like Jisoos is very deep but hers is also got a lot of texture to it… it limits her a bit in what she can do… but honestly Jennie has the basic foundation of a belter… she could really slay that if she wants to I think. I’m sure it’s hard to be motivated to enhance your skills with so little comebacks and how they’re so mistreated by their company. It’s sad they’re just used for money and attention thrown on a tour with such short preparation time and expected to just be magic after not performing together for over two years. They could be so much more if they get away from that company. It’s really unfortunate yge wasted their time and potential so much
