I kind of think that the whole car scene with Rose' is similar to JiSoo's arrow and medival setting is them feeling angry about how week they were when it came to love. How they wanted to be stronger, maybe not let it control them or let someone control them through love. So they just wanted to kill that weak self so they can find a stronger version of themselves. It's an empowering and emotional story that is similar to Selena's Lose You To Love Me. It says that she had lose herself to find herself and idk, Blackpink's statement kind of breathes a similar life to be.

If you look more closely: the car’s license plate says “Ego”, so I’ve learned that the Rose who drives the car may be the representation of the “Super Ego”, using a “vessel/vehicle” (which is the “Ego”) to “run over” the “Id”, the Rose who is running away, the part of her that is blinded by the toxic love, hence “Kill this (toxic) love”

And it really isn't any big deal if they comeback once a year, but the fact that it has been 3yrs and they only have 13 songs and no full album. This isn't simply about having to wait for a year for new songs, this is also calling out YGE for continuous poor manangement and promotions and the lies they kept saying. -Debut year 2016 they said they'd release 8 MV by the end of the year, 3 years later Blackpink only still has 7 MV -2017, they released a single, called it a "gift to blinks" and said full album would follow. Still no full album to this day -2018, mini album with 4 songs -2019, mini album with 4 songs. Didn't even bothered to promote it properly. Blackpink members themselves keep throwing shades at their company, even asked their CEO on a national tv to let them release more music, still nothing happened. Marketing ploy or whatever, this is not how you treat your artists who trained for 6 long years and sacrificed a lot and leave the comfort of their family for them to just waste it, including their youth and talent, like that.

Hey guys, I have some "free time" at the moment so I thought I'd rewatch some of your great videos. The actual explanation of Rosé's car scene (and the entire video, actually) is this: As the subject of the video is "toxic love", "KILL THIS LOVE" does not refer to ending a relationship. Rather, it means that you should look into yourself to see why you repeatedly get into bad relationships, then "Kill" that aspect of yourself so you can make better decisions going forward and have healthier relationships. So the phrase "Kill This Love" actually means "Kill this type of love". Jennie talked about the Yin/Yang, she feels that in order to have good times there must also be bad times. Lisa stole all of the sweet cereal for herself, she wants all the love, quantity over quality, even though it's meaningless and a quick "sugar" high. Jisoo's stronger future self destroyed her weaker self with a flaming arrow, and Rosé (finally) drove her car into herself, if you pause at the beginning of her scene her license plate reads "EGO", meaning that her ego gets in the way of her making the right decisions.

The blackpink mv's hold hidden meaning and so much detail eg in the car seen in kill this love it gose along with Sigmund Freud's structural model of the psyche ; as the car is the ego and rose when driving the car is the id and when running from the car is the super ego. As for detail if you look closer in the cereal hevan the cereals are in fact all linked to love and the fact this in kill this love it kind of connotates to a cereal killer,another extent to detail in kill this love is the bear trap in the shape of a heart says love is a trap.
