My b**ch! One thing that i love about Karen is she's an interesting reactor. She multitasks in watching immensely in a video but also tries to stay active to the camera (or us, the viewers). After reacting the first time, she took a few second of silents, and says "let's watch it again". You're just perfect in a broadcasting environment, you'd fit right in.

I agree with wanting them to have a different production team. I feel like YG is constricting them for artistic creativity and it kind of gets redundant like you mentioned. I want to hear Brave Sound, someone else. I think the girls could go even further by experimenting with a different sound.

I totally understand what you are saying (regarding the change in style that you would have loved to see), especially after "How you like that" was released (even though I loved it from the very beginning because this type of song are right up my alley). However I would say that, specifically talking about "The Album", the girls have already presented something new, fresh and diverse from their usual stuff. Every song in the album is very much different and has a distinct flavor to it. The collabs already showcased something new that Blackpink have never tried before, even though I would rank them at the bottom of my personal favorite list. I still like them, just not as much as the other tracks. "Pretty Savage" is THE Blackpink song. It's braggy and in your face, you can definitely see/hear that the girls are in their element there. "Crazy over you", despite presenting a familiar eastern souding production, has an hypnotizing sexy undertone that really grabbed me. "Love to hate me", my favorite track of "The Album", has very western sounding production, with exciting vocals and a killer rap from Lisa, it somewhat reminded me of an Ariana song. "You Never Know" is a very strong ballad-like track, probably their best to date. I feel like Jisoo really shined in this one. "Lovesick Girls" is a very different title track for Blackpink, it has a very strong radio vibe as you said and you can clearly hear the David Guetta touch in the production. It was a smart and refreshing choice to use it as the lead single, it's been stuck in my head after the very first listen and I'm bumping to it on a daily basis. In conclusion (btw thanks for sticking by this endless essay :P) I'm 100% positive that this is Blackpink best project by far and I can't wait to see where the girls are headed next. Also, just a quick final note, I'm glad you are back, I was missing your reactions and reviews so much.

Yes I feel the same ! Teddy needs to step down at least for the title tracks cause when you hear the production of their last releases (D4, KTL, HYLT) it’s actually very similar ! So thanks for this track that is so goooood

@@javk8673 please say that again!!! Man they weren't playing on that album, I still listen to Crush, come back home, good to you, if I were a boy... i can go on and on. But anyway this album was ok i hope yg lets them come back next year because I feel like they are really building on something right now

@@javk8673 I'm a blackjack. Still doesn't change my stance. Music and taste develops over time. If 2NE1 had released Crush in this time, and it's at least as good as "the album", then my stance might be different. @South Carter you mean "If I Were You"?

Really missed your channel!! Love this song lol it’s such a pop BANGER! The album was also very decent (aside from Bet U Wanna but that’s just me personally- although I like Cardi B). Love to Hate Me, Lovesick Girls, and You Never Know are my top 3! But overall the album is honestly all great songs :)

first of all welcome back : D and yeah i agree wish they did more different things. They sounded so good on sour candy i was hoping they'd go after that sound, anything different really... But I won't lie I still enjoyed it and i just hope they can make more music

I don’t love the chorus for Lovesick Girls, but I’m glad that blackpink finally got a different sound for a title track! This reminds me of their 2016 square two era in terms of visuals, and they sound a bit more mature etc. I think sonically they are still stuck in the same old same old sound, but seeing them perform Pretty Savage I feel like at least the amount of promo and new songs they did this year (which is still not that much tbh but compared to the last 2 years...) helped them develop performance skills and they seemed more energetic, happy to be back and just more interesting to me. I really hope they will continue w a bigger output of music next year as well (and get rid of Teddy... well we can dream)

Can you react to their comeback stage for Pretty Savage on Show Music Core? It's their second title track they're promoting on music shows like Forever Young and Don't Know What To Do. Love your vids a lot and hoping you took a well deserved break from KZbin. Look forward to seeing more vids in the future xx

Teddy's sound is so tired, when I listen to classic girl group albums from SNSD, 2ne1, Wonder Girls, Kara, f(x) etc they sound so fresh and innovative, Blackpink's The "mini" Album is just so....tired sounding, nothing new or interesting. It sucks because the girls are so talented, YG and Teddy are wasting them.

Such a different sound for them They needed to change it up Not my favorite song of the album but its still amazing 🙌

Im glad that they’ve got music shows promotions and variety shows going on but 8 tracks for a supposed full album is so little for all this waiting ! Also I don’t know if you’ve looked up the choreography but it’s a little mess! I really want them to look back on their old choreo and see that they can do so much better

i watched the live stages over the weekend and the choreo for Pretty Savage was so disappointing :/ It's such a shame cos that song is deserving of a much better choreo.

Not gonna lie, I was pretty bored by this album the first time I heard it... I'm still not feeling it, but some songs have grown on me. I think I'm just not feeling the yg formula anymore in general, haven't been for the past 2 years tbh, but I'm glad the girls got to release this project and that their fans seem to be enjoying it. Personally, I would also love to see them try something really different and more challenging... However, some songs have really good lyrics, especially You Never Know. BP really shines in their ballad like songs imo.
