BLACKPINK - ‘Pink Venom’ M/V REACTION

They really gave us everything here: rapping Jennie, Jisoo's lines, iconic Lisa & Jennie duo rap moment, rock star Rosé, a not empty chorus (which personally I don't mind but oh well)!!! The chorus took me off guard because I was expecting it to slap as hard as HYLT but it actually was a lot more laid back and subtle to my surprise. It's that kind of quiet confidence where you don't have to speak up for people to know who you are or that you are in the area (wink wink). It was super 2000 girls band too and I kinda loved it?
I loved the bridge but wished the latata part wasn't as long and that we could have gotten another chorus there but I understand kind of the intention behind the last part? Like it's them, gun blazin, shooting bullet of pink venom at us and they finished us? No? Anyways.
The MV is spectacular to say the least and I feel like it encapsulated the visual identity of BP and its members solo work so well! There were so many references to their past stuff here and seeing them actually made this whole experience even better in my opinion.
Now like I said, the song will grow on me and I have no doubt it will because it is already playing non stop in my head but I guess I'll have to let ma body first "assimilate" the poison before my body finally accepting it lol

I like the song, main rapper Jennie ate, but the thing that stunned me the most are their visuals and outfits. Rosé with her black outfit and the guitar is probably my favorite, Lisa's outfit in the dancebeak and that hairstyle suits her sooo well. Jisoo and her etheral beauty. And then there is obviously Jennie, who you put in everything and she will make it work, i personally wasn't a fan of her first outfit but everything else she wore was chef's kiss. Her presence through out the entire song was marvelous. I'd say this as a pre-release single to perfection. First track, it captures exactly what blackpink is known and loved for and makes you crave for more. Can't wait for September!!!

I really liked this track, even if the formula is still present there have been many “improvements”. In the beginning i wasn't convinced by the chorus, i think it would be perfect if sang with their original voices and not with forced baby voices... But they slayed, ate and left no crumbs, everything was perfect, visuals, the mv, they never disappoint us

I thought the same. It would have sounded so much better if they had sung the chorus a bit lower and relaxed and not so squeaky.

I feel like they weren’t trying to force it, they just had an agenda that didn’t appeal to everybody, it was meant to sound sultry in the ear, but Jennie made it more squeaky ,I mean the second chorus that Lisa started has a more different feel, it’s rather bolder
