Good job seeing that Rosé was running herself over! Jisoo is shooting herself with the burning arrow too! Jennie in her Lara Croft outfit with the others, Lisa killing it. Incredible! I would have joined band-camp if it was like this! In HYLT I too noticed and loved Jennie’s B&W hair, and Jisoo’s too!❤ BTW, who the heck thinks of oil pumpjacks as part of a set! 👍 It’s “Bring out the boss bitch” but I actually didn’t fully get it first few times. Great reaction, lovin’ it! Thx 👍🖤💜🖤💜

To break down the meaning of the songs: *KILL THIS LOVE* can be looked at as a "relationship-ending" song, but its message is really about being introspective and changing yourself for the better. If you watch the four girls and read what they're talking about, they are each describing the reason why they get into toxic relationships. They realize that they must "KILL" this sort of behavior in order to have a healthier relationship. Jennie, on the black and white swans, discusses yin/yang, she feels that in order to have happiness there must always be sadness, and she knows that she is destined to repeat her mistake. Lisa, the "cereal killer" (sorry, couldn't resist) believes in quantity over quality. She wants it all, even though love to her is a short, sweet sugar high that leaves her feeling empty and needing more. Jisoo, in the church, realizes that she is weak, her stronger future self destroys her with a flaming arrow. And Rosé, driving the car, also causes her own destruction, running herself down in the road, the license plate on her car reads "EGO". *HOW YOU LIKE THAT* is about coming back from a dark place stronger than before. There are many Greek references in the video, a few examples are: The winged statue in the temple represents Nike, Goddess of Victory. Rosé, in the beginning, is portraying Persephone, Goddess of Vegetation (plants, flowers) and the daughter of Zeus. One day while she was out gathering flowers, Hades, God of the Underworld, abducted her and dragged her down to the Underworld where she was forced to become his wife. The video shows her in her beautiful image, surrounded by flowers, as well as how she became, dirty and grey, staring up at the world through a hole in the Underworld. She was eventually allowed to return to the surface for part of the year, which is why we have Spring and Summer. Jennie is under the umbrellas is surrounded by dancers, their hands are "spiders", crawling over her face. Directly after this, under the burning umbrellas (they're rotating too, by the way), Jisoo is seated in a chair that is spiderlike in its design. The Trojan Horses at the end are a message from BLACKPINK to the world. They symbolize the fact that BLACKPINK, like the Greeks, will emerge and take over the global music world. If you look at the last scene you will notice that on the inside of the dome it looks like there's an organic growth over parts of the ceiling. It's actually a map of the world that the group is going to dominate.

It’s logical that they use the IT girl memeber of Korea to start the song; 🇯🇪🇳🇳🇮🇪 is the most all rounded member and she is a center and the centers job is to draw attention to the group and to immediately show what concept is going on. So most of the time, she opens the song and does the chorus.

Great Reaction DanCam! Kill This Love is about toxic love! That explosion on the Lara Croft scene was real! BlackPink was covered in ashes and debris! They blew up Aphrodite! And How You Like That has references to Greek Mythology and Religion! Jisoo has the 7 sins written all over her body and Rosé is Persephone who is kidnapped by Hades! 🖤🌸🙏🏻

No way that explosion was real! I didn’t think they would put idols in harms way like that!

Teddy Park and other YGE producers and song-writers who generally write and produce their songs. Still, BLACKPINK has their say in the songs and any change and opinion on lyrics is welcomed by them.
