And if you gentlemen end up checking out any other K-pop, most MVs have real sets. 98% of the time, green screen only occurs when the visual is literally impossible (e.g. flying/falling from great heights). When pandemic restrictions were put into place, having smaller crews forced them to get creative. It was rather inspiring!

Ah, no, no greenscreen. YG (the music group) goes way beyond anything we do in the US in building their own sets for each MV. Lisa broke the 24 hour view record by a solo artist (73 million, previously held by Taylor Swift's 63 million). Lisa is a member of Blackpink, that has the most KZbin subscribers (previously held by Justin Bieber). Lisa also has 70 million followers on Instagram. Blackpink has 5 MV's with each having over one billion views (one song has over 1.7 billion views). BLACKPINK debuted in August 2016, they release a surprisingly small amount of content, but all of their songs are record-breakers and incredibly addictive. Their company supports their solo projects, although it's taken five years for Lisa's. The first girl, Jennie, got her solo (called *SOLO* ) back in 2018, then Main Vocalist Rosé dropped *ON THE GROUND* this past March. The last member, Jisoo, just finished filming a Korean TV show, her solo should be forthcoming.
