I thought that, but I'm getting the feeling that it was the producer of the song who did this shit. 1st he's not used to write for groups (he's mostly Ariana's producer). 2nd YG actually always gave Blackpink good line distributions, no matter who were the most popular. 3rd Jennie's voice color is actually different, so I think the producer might have asked her to sing in a certain way to fit the song. 4th I heard that in kpop, the producers change the singer if they don't like how it sounds, which I really don't like. Hello! I don't think we can consider this mistreatment. Mistreatment is like ViVi from LOONA. She gets literally 2 seconds while others get around 20-30. Jisoo gets good lines and even got the center dance break for HYLT. I think Jisoo stands out in a lot of comebacks, the same for Rose. Here's what should have happened: Lisa gets a dance break to show off her skills. Jennie gets at least half the rap lines because she's the main rapper, and hence fewer singing lines. Those extra singing lines which Jennie isn't doing go to Jisoo and Rose. Jisoo gets more screen time. What happened instead: Lisa gets the entire rap even though the rap is so long and can be easily split. Jennie isn't allowed to rap so they give her most of the singing lines. Jisoo and Rose are neglected in both screen time and singing.

Don't forget for a moment how everyone collectively fed into the narrative of Jennie being lazy and bullied her for two whole years...all the while YG gave absolutely no information and made no statement. The fandom is full of toxic solo stans, saying that the other three members get 'more mistreated' is just rubbish. ALL OF THEM ARE MISTREATED BY YG. These talented and amazing women trained for years to become an idol, just for their shit company to give them no songs, no artistic freedom, reducing them to models and locking them in YG's dungeon for a year on end between comebacks. Jennie is one of the most hated idols and because of something that wasn't even her fault, her ankle injuries made her unable to dance but she still went on stage even though doctors adviced her against it....and then people painted her as the villian of K-pop. She has it hard just as much as the other girls. The amount of hate she is still slandered with...my heart aches for her. So don't fight for who has the worst treatment or most hardships. This is what I think shud’ve happened: the first rap part shud’ve gone to jennie and the second rap part stays as Lisa. Then some of jennie’s lines cud’ve been given to Rosé and Jisoo. Hopefully by then the outcome wud’ve been fair for everyone.
