Agree it is a changing of the guard if you will from the old to the new. The ending of this signifies that getting in the lift and going UP to a empty white room. Signifying they have progressed higher than were and now moving towards a new phase in their development. It is also a serious dig at their haters. Yea some people arn't getting the references and while it might not set well for all blinks. It's a good decision given this is the point other groups got off track. "SHUT DOWN" is brilliant!! In my opinion, I could be wrong, This is Jennie's (shutting up haters) song if you haven't pieced it together. She is the member that receives the most hate, then Lisa (in past and currently in Korea). This is why I believe she took lead in this song. She had the highest line distribution then it's Lisa. Everything else is frosting on the cake. Meaning the song is also pertaining to Blackpink as a whole. Blackpink as Creative Directors alongside Teddy came up with a clever way to do it.
