While most of it is a cover, there was an extended part which they added with their own, written by Jennie and Lisa, rap lyrics - I'd've expected you to have picked up on that. When this was recorded they either were trainees about to debut, or had just released their first songs - there're some differing views on when it was recorded and released. As an aside, at this point Jisoo, on the extreme left, had yet to learn english (the others were fluent) and it was learned phonetically. Still worth a 👍, though.

I didn't notice the raps lyrics towards the end were written by them. I haven't listened to the original song they covered enough to notice. I appreciate you pointing that out!

I know the original. But to me this cover is so much better. Sounds like you want them to sound like the original. They took the original and turned it into their own and made it sound like a new song including with new lyrics. Thats the way your supposed to cover a song if your going to copy the original then you might as well not bother. And for me Jisoo killed it.
