Lisa and Jisoo shocked me! Lisa has grown tremendously. Jisoo singing in her higher register and falsetto blew me away. I didn't even know it was her, I had to check the line distribution.

Certainly. I'm sure Lisa has been working hard to improve, as she always does. I do believe though that she's had a lot of this ability all along. It was just never showcased before. There have been hints of it when she sings powerfully and in her lower (not cute) voice in Kiss and Make Up. And her ability to softly express the meaning of the lyrics with perfect emotional pitch was evident in her first and last parts in You Never Know. They weren't flashy and belting parts, but they were deeply moving in the way she sang the words, like "I've heard enough of the things that I'm not". Her voice has shown a lot of power too in several other songs.

The more you practice the better you’ll become. She also had a vocal coach. I agree, you could her ability to sing with a lovely tone. The coach taught her vocal techniques to help her voice flourish into what we hear now.

The Blackpink members once said that Lisa is very talented and it's hard to compare with her. Even the president had praised Lisa for being great, her trainers, dancers, or anyone who had worked with her said she was great. only YG I don't want her to stand out too much.

You mentioned YG didn't want her to outshine the group. Personally, I don't think Lisa would have done that. She was/is more of a team player and definitely not selfish. The reason she formed Lili Films was so she could showcase her talent without outshining her members.

Lisa's vocals were definetly the biggest revelation of the album, just as u said, it’s not normal from yg to let her show her beautiful voice but she used to get straight As on trainee evaluations wich includes singing. I'm very happy that she got to work with a producer that gave her the opportunity and encoruged her to show her voice, i'm hoping she can showcase her impressive vocals more often from now. I'm a recent BP fan and was really touched by this reaction. Reading through comments on reaction videos to this song, I've learned that BP has never sung this song in public. It made me think that it would be great if BP did an NPR Tiny Desk performance, where they could perform stripped-down versions of some of their songs (Whistle already has one, to a guitar, which is amazing) but maybe they could include The Happiest Girl. I do wonder if they don't perform it live because it's slower and more melancholy. Perhaps they think their fans don't want that? In any event, thanks again for such a raw reaction. Rosé higher chorus sent me to heaveeeeen as always ✨ Jisoo’s head tone I can NOT deny that her voice and Lisa’s are soooooo goood it’s such a revelation, Jennie’s deep voice is sooo amazing and expresses how deep the pain is. Rosé’s voice was like the screaming while in pain, Jennie’s the silent weeping, Lisa’s and Jisoo’s were the ones where you are questioning things and why it hurts so much. Jisoo's head voice in this is so good, Lisa's voice is a pleasant surprise to me as well. All four sung so good in this but Jisoo and Lisa shined the brightest in this for me.
