It's about 11 miles I believe. Certainly the longest ride you will get on a heritage team in the UK

Nice to see these "out of town" vids away from the centre of Blackpool.

As a local I try to avoid the tourist spots. There are some good locations to film at.

So Are these on a regular service Or are they just on the additional heritage runs?

@Steven Hughes I need to pop up to good old Blackpool preferably away from the touristy bit and film 1 or two. How far north along the coast do they tend to go?
@StevenHughestransportvideos Жыл бұрын
@@Northerner_Transport_Hub the best place to film is near Sandhurst Avenue tram stop as all 6 trams on enhanced days pass here and it's nice and quiet. The next enhanced weekend is in April or there is a big weekend end of May over 3 days

Very similar yes, if you ever see photos of the Pantograph car at Crich you will see how close they looked.

Don't like the pantographs, they spoil the look of trams much prefare the trolley poles, I'm old school don't like modern trams can't see them lasting 60-70 years!
@StevenHughestransportvideos Жыл бұрын
While the trolley poles do look better, the pantograph saves time at turn around and also reduces the risk of dewirements which was a common issue on the route. Of course the trolley should be returned to trams sporting liveries which are pre Pantograph era.

@@StevenHughestransportvideos poles can be used the old Sheffield system had auto pole reverse equipment. The patent will have long expired now
@StevenHughestransportvideos Жыл бұрын
@@damiendye6623 Blackpool used to have pole reverses too, I think crich still has a working one too. Alas none of Blackpools exist and when you are turning back on a centre loop I don't think the space exists for that.
