My view, having seen many videos about Blackpool hotels: There are many failing hotels there. Some of them will take in homeless people when shelter is provided for them by the govt. Many of the people will have very severe problems with addiction. Some will have dogs they depend on. You can't just take somebody who's had an immensely difficult time, shove them in a room, and expect them to be fine. They need immense support (and don't get it). Also some of these hotels seem to be used by s*x workers at the most desperate end of that job. Added to this you have owners who absolutely do not care.

100% Health care chucks the most vulnerable into these places and forgets about them. I also thought the place looked like an old knocking shop. Sad times we live in

Believe it or not, when I went to Blackpool in 2000 for a summer season, I couldn't move into my flat for a week so I got a 'Holiday flat'. It was 100 times worse than this. I left after 5 minutes. I didn't even care about the money that I lost. That place is dangerous.

This is less than zero star, so glad we stayed at the Premier Inn when I was in Blackpool last year. Although the whole town is quite run down and the area around the tower was stinking of sewage. Sad as I had many happy holidays there growing up.

Believe it or not Blackpool is on the up it's not there yet as there's still loads of hotels as bad as this one but it is getting there

It's cheap because everyone stays for 5 minutes and leaves... They can book the same room dozens of times a night.

I work the doors at Coral Island casino as shown in the video and I’ve always wondered what was on the other side of the window for £10 or less a night as I gazed up at the building. Nothing could’ve prepared me.

Hi a great video and that hotel room looks so disgusting and dirty. I would not stay at that hotel the dodgy wiring,. the broken plug socket, dirty bed, not hot water and horrible bathroom and sink with no taps to wash your hands. .. That is so unacceptable to let out a room in that state. The hotel should be shut down before someone gets hurt.

I definitely think you did the right thing. Bloody horrific and dangerous, obviously the electric has been bodged. That is an accident waiting to happen. Filthy room with dangerous electrics its a deathtrap!!!

It's 8 quid a night and someone would be happy with it for the price..obviously with standards then 99% wouldn't even book never mind stay. But you pretty much get what you pay for..for a stag night it would be perfect or a lads bender because you're gona be pissed so I'd sleep anywhere.

Glad you didn't stay would have been worried about you Bank Cards in the middle of the night. By the way looks like a DSS DOSS HOUSE they should not be able to get away with that in age we live in. Even if your on your uppers you should still have a standard where by you get some where safe to stay at and hot and cold running water and not be treated like your a no body

Blackpool as gone down the pan years ago its full of drug users no matter what time of day or night its full of hen parties and stag parties,Blackpool is a waste town now i refuse to ever go there again, it used to be one of the best resorts in the uk
