Hello, and welcome back to a new video, in Today's video we has a trip to Preston Town Centre, exploring the streets and some of the great Buildings their.
Move over Mr Potato Head, there's two new spuds in Preston town serving up a medley of lunches and TikTok videos.
Jake Nelson, 28, and Harley Nelson, 21, aka The Spud Brothers, have taken over The Hot Potato Tram on Flag Market and launched a TikTok account to boot.
The brothers’ TikTok page is also growing fast, they film videos about working on the van, how to keep happy customers and even give away free food sometimes - one of their most popular videos has almost 20 million views.
Jake said: "We took over the Hot Potato Tram from Tony 12 weeks ago and rebranded it to the Spud Brothers.
"As social media is such a big thing we decided to also put out a Spud Brothers TikTok to get more of a word out there.
"We we started doing it we got a few videos that went viral and we have currently reached 16,500 in 12 weeks but in total across all out social media platforms we are now up to 900,000."

What. The working class have gone back to eating roughage and healthy. Never.. Cba watching the full vlog but I recon a fiver is a fair price with a drink. Am I close to the price or miles off???... Manchester has had a van like this for around 30 years... Used to do well, now always empty...

So I ended up watching.. Fair play.. They have the price point spot on. Fiver is fair value.. As a CEO of one of the norths largest businesses a few tips for the young lads running the van.. It's fast food, so over 30 minutes wait isn't acceptable. Most people only get 30 minutes for break, so phone orders are a must. The food looks spot on. So fair play. Maybe a bigger vans in order and 2 tills or paypoints. Get a lady behind the counter aswell.. Always good for buisness. I must say and this is going to get me a lot of down votes. In my experience 17/27 year old lady's are far more motivated than men. And more reliable on the whole. Never thought I would say that, being brought up in the 70 80s in a male dominated life. Everything else is spot on apart from the que time. With my spud I would prefer a bit of chilli and a brew, is that also a fiver?.. But being exmilitary, I impressed that the young lads are getting off their arses and doing something.. The North gets plenty of bad press, as a shithole etc. But look what a bit of hard work can achieve.. The mark up must be over 100% on each sale.. Just Depends how much the council are charging rent.. Obviously in Manchester it's far more expensive as more footfall. But years ago I know it was around £150 a day for a street trading licence. Again I suffer with insomnia as have ptsd, but it was a good watch, and glad I took the 20 minutes to watch..
