Big disadvantage of hold fast is that there are no slide stops to keep cameras from from slinging forward when you bend over. Black rapid has this and it works great. I have found that if you also add a coupler straps that they sell for 10 dollars to the back a little lower there is no slipping forward at all. Practically like having them locked to your side with no swinging at all.

so best spot to place a flash would be on one of your shoulders, and have both cameras access the same flash via wireless. nice. just need 1/4 20 and this will work with the flash setups while maintaning mobility. i would like this same setup but on an actual back pack

Got one for Christmas - video esplaind the extra "bits" I couldn't figure. Brrilliant bit of kit. You CAN do it on the cheap as I did but this works better in every way. A fan! Straps remind me of my foirst TENBA bag in the 80s. It takes a moment to figure, but it just works.

"now I have a single strap made from the double strap..." The package contents do not list a BlackRapid Brad Breathe II Underarm Stabilizer Strap in order to make the double strap into a single strap. Now I have to pay an extra $25CA to fix this design so I can properly convert from double to single strap design. All of Blackrapid's designs include the underarm stabilizer strap except this double strap design. It seems that Blackrapid would agree the single strap design would require the underarm stabilizer strap on all single strap designs except on the single strap design of the converted double strap harness. I'll be contacting the company over this to see what can be done since I can't complete the single strap configuration from the supplied parts of the Double Breath Shoulder Harness.

Looking at your video, the strap looks like it limits how high you can raise the camera. I am a bird photographer and many times have to point a large lens(400-600mm) straight up to the sky. The strap would also be connected to the lens, not the camera, which requires even more slack in the strap. Can you verify this is possible without having the camera hang down to my knees lol.

The extra rear snap-on stabilizer strap can be used, or not, but I recommend that you do. It helps to maintain the camera behind you when not in use and using the safety stop sliders. Saying that, adjust the rear stabilizer up high on the back until you are able to find your reach. I'm 6' tall with a upper body fat problem at present. I have a Nikon D850 with battery grip, Nikon 200-500mm lens on one side and D800e with battery grip, Nikon 70-200mm on the other side. (Kirk KQD's and feet with sockets) I can easily reach my face with the view finder of both cameras. Keep adjusting the rear cross strap stabilizer up until you can easily put the view finder eye piece to your forehead aiming the lens up to the sky. Another trick I learned to make it easy to reach your eye after proper adjustment, grab your camera body, lift the camera by raising your arm to the side of you only slightly and then keeping the camera away from your body, swing to the front and up to your eye. Kind of an arch swing motion. Not much of an arch is necessary but an arch motion just the same.

I loved a previous version of this product .... until the caribeener broke at the joint and thankfully my camera with 70-200/2.8 landed on grass. A colleague used safety cable attached to eyelet of his camera as protective measure since he had same issue but not as lucky as his camera mount was destroyed from impack. Has Blackrapid fixed this issue? I also had to constantly make sure the screw was tight as it would loosen during usage. I WANT to use this product but already got burnt and can't trust Sony A1 to untimely death with this device.

Need to see the connection on your back. My problem is the shoulder parts keep sliding forward down my chest and do not stay on my shoulders.

I got an earlier version of this strap and sent it back next day, as it was a very poor fit even after a couple of hours trying to get it right. Just kept sliding off my shoulders and there's no way I'd trust my 1DX bodies on it, so it went back. I was surprised at how poor quality it was for a market leading brand. No idea what to go for next.

I couldn't, even with the straps on the tightest fitting. Still looking for a good, reliable, double strap that doesn't cost a small fortune!

You should mention how TERRIBLE the lock star is! I am now on my second strap due to the lock star breaking literally the first day that I used the strap. Strap number two? Same thing! Broke the first day of use!

Do not use as a single strap option. Absolutely not the same as the single. I have the dual and the single. I’ve tried using the dual set up as a single and without the under arm strap it’s not the same

Shitty harness with poor lock, I regret buying it and it dropped my camera in the first time using TODAY, the lock does not tight in camera at all, break my $1500 lens.
