Thank U Kev Mac..... I knew the old timers in the 50's and earlier on in history that the blacks and browns got along with each other...... So I went on a deep dive in the history of brown LA and geez to find out that the navy went to war with the browns in LA...... Really opened my eyes...... Black brown and others r going and went through the same struggle..... I just hope black and brown can finally take make their culture and put it out in their own media platforms......

That car wash is on the corner of Florence & Maie. As kids, we spent many days and many coins there during the 1960s thu the 1980s. Mainly, it was for the fries, burritos, pastramis, and shakes. A lot of times, after playing sports or swimming all day at Roosevelt Park, the car wash was our first stop on the way home.

I just wanna clear something. The word "Mayate" means junebug. In mexico they call dark skinned people "mayatito" Its not used derogatory. Somewhere somebody in the U.S twisted the meaning. Racism mainly exists in the U.S. of America, in Mexico people don't think that way. Anyone who says different doesn't know a thing about mexico. So if you ever here a Mexican lil kid and their grandparents using the word they're probably trying to catch a junebug and tie a string to it and play with it. The word sounds harsh but literally means junebug. If you're reading this and a latino especially Mexican has called you by that word as an insult ,I would like to apologize in behalf of us Mexicans who don't condone racism . Not all latinos are like that. Instead of going tit for tat blaming each for hatred lets just teach our kids better so they don't repeat our mistakes. And to those who are going to disagree or hate on this statement may you find the peace and the love you need one day .

Why are those words referring to blacks, seem like they derived from Mayan?
@YouProblyAHater10 ай бұрын
Nope... you all changed the meaning and you know it. Foh... If a messican call you a mayat3, he's calling you the n word.
