I agree, bandai namco is not too big on sequels, they love their DLCs especially if their game does well. Xenoverse 2 is almost 10 years old and is still getting DLC, their current pass hasn't even fully come yet out. Kakarot and Breakers are getting DLC, Naruto storm 4 got DLC for years. We definitely will get TYBW DLC. Probably around the time cour 4 is out or finishing, like you said to go along with the hype of the anime. We'll probably get a later season pass for Zanpactou Arc since that's a fan fave, maybe the movies if the game does well

Yeah I can definitely see them extending this game’s lifespan out. No need to waste resources on assets that just can be added to the game. People are going to learn that from the demon slayer Hinokami sequel. Game look just like the last one just with new characters imo

Idk about that, Naruto storm has 5 titles, xenoverse has a sequel too, so i don't think sequel is not to take in consideration.

Bandai IS that big on sequels, Dragon Ball (Like always) is literally the only exception to that rule cause it's their biggest anime IP by miles and they have DB Battle Hour so they need updates for their games yearly. Storm 4 stopped getting DLC a year after the game came out with the Boruto Expansion. (Then 2 DLC characters who were from that same expansion that came out for the Nintendo Switch Port years later) Loads of other anime games even Storm only get 1 season pass of DLC unless it's like MH One's justice 2 and JJK Cursed Clash. Rebirth of Soul does have a high chance of getting more than 2 though. Also doesn't make much sense at all to make TYBW DLC when there are loads of characters who are gonna miss the initial release and Fullbringer Arc characters. No reason at all to skip all of those characters when TYBW characters are gonna be in the sequel anyways. Edit: The game is most likely releasing with a roster count of 33-40 there is absolutely no way that's gonna represent all the characters in the arc the base game is covering. DLC for the characters who got missed and Fullbringer arc is basically a certainty since TYBW have waaaay too many big players involved and characters who we already in base game who get drastic changes in moveset. None of that can be done with Season Passes that don't even bring new story nor with only 4 characters a pass. Rebirth of Soul 2 or whatever "Souls" wordplay they gonna name it is a MUST

@@ExtinctSoul Really storm has 7😂 other than xeno, connections is the most recent and the last sequel I can remember. The rest of their games have been one and done BUT I also agree with you. You cannot rule out a sequel for this game especially when comes to Bandai.

I dont think we will get any tybw playable characters. I think the dlc with be an arrancar that isnt base game, soul reaper and then Ginjo and Tsukishima MAYBE. Best case scenario we get 2 soul reapers and 2 arrancar and 4 full bringers for pack 2

@stu-hs9fg they better just make a sequel. I think that would both be better for sales and for the TYBW content we do get. They can fully flesh it out while also giving us the characters, stages, and cinematics we want in the quality that would satisfy a wider audience. With a game that already has a lot of base game content, i wouldn't want the developers to feel industry crunch while making (what I would argue) to be the most hype content possible as DLC. From a realistic standpoint, i dont see this game getting anywhere near the support a game like Xenoverse has. I just pray that when they get to TYBW, it will be as well done as possible with quality over product turnaround time in mind.

seeing each of the squad zero members popping up each month for the dlc only for Ichibe to pop up last and then Ywhach breaking into pt 2 of season pass bringing in Haschwalth, Uryu(tybw), Ichigo(tybw), and Bazz B / Gremmy. But time will tell what they do depending on when Cour 4 gets animated or if they decide to make a Rebirth Of souls 2 we will have to wait and see since if this sells well we might see more hints later down the road.

Putting the Quincys on a dlc of this game or any other character form tybw, wouldn't make sense since the game is only going to be up to Ichigo vs size final fight, until the final roster is not out I wouldn't put my hopes up on tybw character on the dlc, I think they gonna come out with a 2nd game starting a the full ringer arc and finishing at tybw, that's my prediction.

I think the first DLC will give us the visored we didnt get in base game and some popular fraccion or privaron espada: Kensei, Lisa, Love, Mashiro, Findorr, Charlotte, Abirama, Tres Bestias, Dordoni, Cirucci. Fullbringer could be a expansion story dlc pack for all we know, its not that big of a arc anyway, or it could be completely skipped over and they just would give us Tsukishima and Ginjo, the only important people in this arc. I dont think TYBW content is that far off from happening, there's way too many new characters and versions of characters to be added in a sequel, we could get characters like Nemu, Nanao, Chojiro, Yachiru and Unohana since they wouldnt affect or spoil too much the arc, and would make complete sense for them to completely skip over these characters in base game since none of them did anything until TYBW

Doesn't make much sense at all to make TYBW characters dlc. They would stick out like a sore thumb. Yea I get it to capatilze on TYBW anime but even still, thats what the sequel will be for. They most likely are gonna give us characters who missed the base game release and Fullbringer arc characters. This would make sense cause Soul Society to Arrancar arc have loads of characters who might miss the initial release and having the Fullbringers in the next season pass could be great for the sequel. The game can start off in that arc and not many resources would be used since they developed all the characters as DLC for the first game. This would give the devs all the time they need to add 20-30 (this number cluld be even higher ngl) characters for the sequel to represent TYBW fully. Since it has many unqiue new characters who have to be in and characters who are already in Rebirth of Souls 1 but get drastic moveset changes. Now I could see just ONE TYBW character being released as a stand alone dlc after all the season passes has ended to get fans hyped for the sequel
