Thank you, as someone who has studied self defense for decades I 100% tell people not to try that disarm in those situations, if you are even slightly off or too slow it could end horribly. And your wallet is not worth trying it. Rma 1155 multicurve level 4 plates are $155 a piece and are nij certified In the body armor industry they are priced based on the weight, the lighter and thinner the more expensive, the plates I recommended are the best there is for the price however they are heavy at 8lb’s a plate Also always buy nij certified armor and stay away from steel as it is heavier and can spall sending pieces of metal into your neck and other extremities, other than it being overpriced and sold by scummy companies like ar500 steel and safelife defense which blatantly lie about their products and offer them knowing there not nij certified, saying their “tested to nij standards” is not the same.

The technique in the video is more mentally handicapped than Joe Biden but yes it is easy to disarm a (untrained in CQC) gun man at any range from I think 10 feet or closer. Any farther and we get into taking a gamble to throw an object to close distance, or " well guess I'll die" territory. Sorry for the rant.

@@absanchez777 kevlar behind the armor is actually the only thing its missing before itd be a great body armor besides a few wearable aspects like better straps and not a neck strap, the kevlar behind the armor would catch the shrapnel that slips between the plates, like matt explained how a bullets shrapnel went between the plates and up, without kevlar youd probably have shrapnel shallowly hit your neck, still not good, but if you put kevlar behind it would catch the shrapnel and just absorb it, so you wouldnt have that problem, id even double a bit of the kevlar towards the top to really protect the neck and it would be a very very solid body armor, id even buy it to be honest most people dont have a 50 cal, .375 chaytak or .338 chambered sniper rifles laying around

This has a lot of potential, - love how the Maker riveted the plates together. The problem with the original was the glue they used to keep the ceramic plate pattern melted in the heat so the ceramica plate pattern was compromised before even being shot; the Armys test did not go well. The bit of flexibility it does have makes it so appealing. Line it with kevlar on the back to mitigate the shrapnel and we've got the next stage in body armor!
