This is the best demo of this pedal - and what a product - they've really hit it out of the park with this!

I'm rarely impressed with this sort of pedal but by god, this is actually awesome. Does everything you might need it do to, and could easily form the heart of a live, or bedroom recording rig. Brilliant.

This pedal is awesome! I feel like they're selling it short by calling it a distortion pedal. Great demo, Thomas!

This really is the future of amplification. So many big players are playing with smaller, more compact rigs these days. While there are still some players with Bradshaw rigs and walls of monster tube amps, there are a lot of players using smaller rigs. John McLaughlin hasn't used a traditional amp forever a decade. He goes straight into the PA with some pedal amps, no cabs. One of my favorite stories is about George Lynch. Back on the Tooth and Nail tour, around 1984, he was endorsing Randall, and he had what appeared to be a wall of Randall RG 100 stacks. Well, they were really cardboard cutouts. Behind the stage he had a Randall RG 75 combo mic'd up and the sound was huge. You don't need a monster wall of amps. You never really did. Looks cool but you don't need it for The Sound. Stuff like the Dual Distortion are the way to go. It just makes sense from every angle. Economic, logistic, east of use, etc.

I now use exclusively analog distortion for avoiding aliasing and all those ear tiring aliasing distortion noises. Sound less harsh, no ear tiring, clearer (not depending of the gain but only analog can give you those perfect tones) Of course I use digital for all the other signal chain. Only distortion and gain generate that much aliasing all around the spectrum (it’s not something you ear only on highs, so « harsh » is not the best term to describe that)

Super chops. A lot of effects coming after the pedal so it's really hard to know what it really sounds like... except by some other KZbin videos which haven't done much for me. I like the old school USB plug but the lack of a stereo return and the inability to swap tubes - particularly on its red brother - is going to keep me looking.

@@McRocklin thank you for the reply! Do you use the pedal for anything or just for the video? I’ve hit a brick wall with my tone. I’ve been using bias FX 2 for a while now. I probably had a Fabfilter Dynamic EQ on the final output to control certain frequencies a little but that’s it. We had a Twitch.TV/McRocklin stream with it the other night, the video is still up if you’re still a little unsure about the pedal.

The way you demo-ing is great. The sound is awesome. You give big display when you dialing the architect, and that very informative. It would be better to balance the use of reverb and delay. Understand it makes sound great, but to feel/hear on dry signal will be very informative to hear. Also can help replicating real case scenario when it use on live situation guitar - the box then FOH.

Hi 👋🏻 Greetings from Norway. Just a couple of quick questions. As a child prodigy, how do you look back on your guitar playing now vs when you were a kid. And do you feel any benifits now starting that young? Myself was 12 when Passion & Warfare came out- and it must have been be a huge privilage to be in The Audience Is Listning. And also have Vai producing your bands album (or was it single) 🤘 Cool channel you got🤘😁good luck on future career👍
