Its not ground noise, i was just using mine again today, and even with a noise pedal, it has to be turned way up. I think it could be the tube, or just the pedal gain that has the noise, don't know if they used noisier tubes. I think this pedal is one of the best distortion pedals ever, it sounds way better than in this video !

Are you going direct for all these tones? Sorry if it's a stupid question but the tones are comparable to a miced mesa recto 412 I've used in the studio.

Is possible to get the sounds of the Dual Drive with the Dual Distortion or is differently voiced? I mean, the Dual Distortion is only more gainy?

Yes That is why I bought the Dual Distortion because you can make the sound of the Dual Drive with it but with the Dual Drive you can’t do the sound of the Dual Distortion

While the distortion gets close it still sounds different, it doesn’t hit that full open brit sound, think it can get close to a JCM 800 and even a bit hotter. Personally I would go with the drive and stack clean/dirty boosts in front when more saturation is required. More versatile, unless if you only play newer styles of metal, there the distortion seems like the better option.

Well, I have both, and I get plenty of distortion from the red one. In fact, I prefer it to the black one. That's not to say the black one isn't good. I just seem to get a better response from the red one running into my Prinston. They both chug very well, evan at low volume . However, the black pedal seems a bit flat, and dare I say a bit muddy with the gain at 3 o'clock. And the clean isn't quite as good as the red one is. That doesn't make it a bad pedal by any means. If you're going for that Mega Death , Slipknot type of saturation, then the black pedal is the one you want. If you're going for a Van Halen, AC DC , possibly a Stevie Rey Vohn Zz Top sound, then the red one is best for that. The red is more versatile.

@@christopherdunn317 I think they refer to how he connected the dual drive's output into the dual distortion, I see no problem here as the Cab Rig settings are still active with the Dual Distortion on standby mode...
