Blackstar HT-DIST Tube (Valve) Pedal Demo & Review ~ TTK Style! (Distortion Pedal)

Folks, here's another goodie by Blackstar. Not as brutal as the DISTX, but just enough grit to get the job done!
Like the DIST-X - this video too was recorded using the emulated speaker output, directly into my mixer (DAW), so you get to hear what it sounds like, going directly into the board! Ideal for the stage (into an amp), or the studio (via the emulated speaker out).
Features include : all tube design, 300v (like an amp!), cascaded gain stages (like an amp!), response like an amp, Blackstar's Infinite Shape Feature (ISF), ROCK SOLID metal construction, and killer tones!

I know this is a distortion pedal but is it possible to set it like a clean-tube-amp style? Most of my gigs are direct-to-PA so I have to use preamp pedals with cab-sim. I currently use Tech 21 Blonde and California and was wondering if the cab-sim on these pedals were decent enough

i might get a Randall rx120rh as my first half stack, would this pedal sound good plugged into it until i get a good tube head? im playing in a band trying to upgrade from my beginner gear, trying to get more serious and want something with good tone, what do you recommend i do tone king?

Honestly, you might be better off buying this than an HT50 or what have you. Just have a cheap tube head like the $100 orange and send this overdrive through it.
