There will NEVER be r&b like this again. Some may try to copy but nobody can put it down like the greats in the 90s. You had Silk, Next, 112, Jagged Edge, Black Street, Ideal, Mint Condition, H-Town, Tyrese, Jaheim, r.kelly, Avant, Case, Donnell Jones, Jon B, SWV, Monica, Brandy, Xscape, Boys 2 Men, Tony Toni Tone, Tevin Campbell, Toni Braxton, Tank man that list can go on forever. And that's all in one decade of music man we were truly blessed

Now 37 was driving home on Valentine's Day to my new boyfriend and this song popped in my head and all I could think was "damn I got to look that up". As I'm driving home then nostalgia rolls in it's like I was sitting in the back of my mama's car singing this song wondering what the hell they was talking about. How all these years later have been through so many relationships and you realize it's not the music that's changed it's you. Music is the one thing that always takes us back to what some consider "better times" or it has the ability to make us appreciate what we have now. For all the times I couldn't think of what to say it was music like this that said it for me. You really can't get any better than '90s r&b. It says SWV's" Hold on to your love" is playing next I can only imagine where it'll take me after that.

This was David Hollister's last lead as a member of Blackstreet. I always line this song up as his final goodbye, before he left the group and went solo.

Dam man when I listen to this makes me so grateful for my queen 14 years strong and im still crazy about her Kings show your woman affection and worship her. Remember you are the man and protector and teach our little kings that's how a woman should be treated. And teach our little queens demand to be respected and worshiped and accept nothing less . God bless you all

We gotta start mentioning Blackstreet more when we talk about greatest R&B groups of all time and especially the 90s. Their catalogue is grossly underrated. 😮💨🔥🔥🔥

Because groups come with hella ego and people spread shit in each other’s ears that they don’t need to be in the group. Mostly just spreading toxic shit so they can stop making money

Teddy hit this one out of the park! With DH on lead vocals. A shame they couldn't hang together a while longer. This group had massive potential during a time when R&B was being smothered by hip-hop. Thanks for posting!
