I miss this band! Everyone says the second album sucks but it's actually pretty good and aged very well. The first was great but the second was pretty good too

Agree, Light from above it´s an amazing Metal album and Post mortem was an amazing Metalcore album.

Fave song of them. I've heard the 'old' and 'new' Black Tide and like both. The folks on the band started the band at very young age... so of course their skills, music taste, record process change... I bet Gabe's voice now and back then don't sound 100% the same. Still they are amazing!

This is pretty much the only song I really enjoy off Post Mortem. The transition from being thrash metal to straight up metalcore pretty much all but killed Black Tide for me. I loved their first album back to front and their cover of Metallica's "Hit the Lights" kicked ass! I was sorely disappointed by Post Mortem because they went from a refreshing return to old-school thrash to doing what every new metal band on the planet seems to want to do now. Come on guys. Can't anyone be original for once?

I have followed this band from day one and it takes an actual music lover who listens to a bunch of different styles to enjoy this. I loved there first songs ie "Shockwave" and "Shout" and I also love this! From age 15 to age 18 and 19 people will change or there is something incredibly wrong. Gabe said in an interview that before he was close minded in the music he listened to and wanted to make but as he grew older so did his taste in music. Please people this is an incredibley talented band.

Everyone saying he regrets stretching his ears are idiots. It took him a loooong time to get his ears that big and he didn't accidentally do it, he wanted to. Even if some day down the road he wants normal ears again it's a very simple, very cheap cosmetic 2-stitch fix and you have completely normal ears again. I think his ears look awesome and I'm glad he isn't paralyzed by others people's opinions.

What most of you don't understand is not only that their music taste has changed, but also I mean look at how young they are. Gabe is 17 or 18, think about it, he's still getting to know his "style" physically and musically, also they recorded their first album when gabe was 14 he CAN NOT sound the same as he used to. I've seen them twice and both times they were awesome no matter how he looked.
@TheScylent13 жыл бұрын
Why does everyone have such a problem? Repetition can be bad, or in some cases good, just because one album has one sound and the next has a different it doesn't mean that they're going to stick with either of the two.
