Fishing for Monster Brown Trout by Downtown Milwaukee on Lake Michigan - ft. Eric Haataja - 4K

I flew north to go fishing for monster brown trout on Lake Michigan with my good buddy Eric Haataja. We were fishing by downtown Milwaukee. The bite was slow, but the trout were massive. I caught two monster brown trout over 18lbs back to back, beating my personal best record ( the previous record was 17lbs). We started the day off fishing spawn eggs and salmon skein and then later switched to crankbaits.

I like the trout fishing but it gets boring seeing a bunch of KZbinrs do the same thing. Especially since you're just fishing in a marina. Go fish the rivers and streams for steelhead, browns, etc.

I make two trips to Lake Michigan every year. Pro Tip: When Ican see the Kings and Cohos but they won't hit anything? I use the smallest sized Panther Martin spinner with a heavier hook. Black blade/black body seems to work best for me. The idea isn't to try and make them hungry but just to make them mad enough to attack that annoying little thing. Cheers!

Hi I love your vids I live in Wisconsin I just went to Lake Superior for a fishing trip I caught a 32 inch brown trout it’s was huge it was fat too . My dads a fish expert and my favorite video of urs is 17ft sawfish. I show my dad all your videos and he loves them and thinks there cool that you live in Florida and come to Milwaukee. Just rewatched the video because I really didn't think that the Giant fish caught were that big, had to see it again. The one at 10 minutes to 11:15 was no where near 20lbs guys. Maybe 14-16lbs. And the bigger one near the end of the video was closer to 18-20lbs. I've been trout fishing in the great lakes for 20yrs, and ok putting the fish closer to the camera doesn't fly with me. I take my photos with the fish up against my body so that you get a realistic perspective on the actual size of the fish. My PB rainbow is 18lbs on a light action Okuma Aventa 15'6" centerpin set-up, 6lb floro leader. 35-40 minutes of HELL to reel in this monster, in a river. You catch a giant like this on light tackle and you have a really great appreciation for what a giant really is. Catching them in relatively open water is child's play
