@@blackunicornffs I don't know if you have the same units to count plateles but it is dangerous. The norm is like 150-450 tousands but we are very concerned if they are below 60 tousands and very very concerned if they are below 30 tousands. He might have septic disease, bacterias from lung or kidneys or intestine go to blood and the inflamation process lowers the plateles. It is dangerous but treatable, good that he is in hospital. Your typical infectious diseases are called tropical in my country and I do not feel good in this field. It can be also something completely non infectious like hematological but in his age it would not probably be so rapid as 3 days fever. It would take weeks or months to come to this point. So I guess it will be very bad infection with long recovery. Plateles can be donated like blood so if doctors see any symptoms of dangerous bleeding they can make an infusion from plateles.
