Great video! I live in the southern part of WV and ride that area every chance I get. Always enjoy it! I bought my FJR in Petersburg...good people. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Alaskan dual sport. I hope the winter flies by for ya!. Sounds like you stayed damn active when you were in WV. Too many people don't take advantage of the outdoors.

Yet another great video promoting this incredible motorcycle riding state. Have you done PR-13 AKA Canaan Loop road. Drive to the lodge and keep going. It's got your name all over it. I was on my DRZ and some of it was tough for me. I'm not an off road guy.
@2WR7 жыл бұрын
I have not...but I'm going to have to look into it. Where you on a 400 or 650? ps. I'm hoping to make many more videos about WV.

Cool man.. I've done this trip in a car many times... I'm a first year rider... I've been sticking more local while I gain more experience.. hope to do these trips this summer on my bike... great videos.
@2WR7 жыл бұрын
Welcome to riding! That's smart to gain experience on roads you're familiar with before venturing out. I assume you're in WV? Also is that the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in your thumbnail?
@DavisMahavis7 жыл бұрын
2 Wheeled Rider yes sir.. I love the asylum.. my band plays there every year for their haunted house/Halloween party
@2WR7 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Never been there before but plan to visit this year. I have visited the WV State Penitentiary in Moundsville a few times including their Halloween tour.

I commented on another video of yours.. holler at me when you come to Charleston and eat at the grill.. I work minutes from there .. if you wanna ride the midland trail from there I'd be down to ride. I can follow and film too.
@2WR7 жыл бұрын
That'd be awesome! Your name is going down in my planning notebook so I don't forget to reach out when I head down that way.

Nice ride! I've ridden up to Seneca Rocks, but haven't made it to Blackwater yet. Nice stretch of road there; I'll have to check it out when I get a chance. (Ride up to Seneca Rocks was on my Bonnie, I was surprised when I got home and found I'd done 400 miles; my preferred road-trip bike is a Daytona 955.)
@2WR7 жыл бұрын
You can rack up some miles riding in the mountains...time flies when you're having fun :) Seneca to Blackwater isn't too far and it's a nice stretch of road.

Yeah, a couple years ago I went up to PA for a family visit and told my brother I wanted to see Pine Creek Gorge; he led on his ZRX, by the time we got back we'd done 300 miles (and I do over 200 just getting there)! I'm not in the Iron Butt league, but I once did over 900 in a day (much younger then), and I rode DC-Nashville just a few years ago in about 12 hours on the Daytona (Race-Tech suspension, Heli Bars and a Corbin saddle help).

Nice Vid...I got to look up these places in WV being in OH aint too far away. BTW, what's the mile range on the KTM?
@2WR7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I can usually go 300 miles before the warning light kicks on.
@EbonB7 жыл бұрын
2 Wheeled Rider holy crap! that's a great range!
@2WR7 жыл бұрын
For sure! I was happy when I could go 200 on my FJR before the light would kick on.

Really enjoy your videos...Every time you pass a car I smile. It's one of my favorite things to do on my 1290 too. The whole world is so slow since I got this bike..lol. So, you have any plans to get that 1290 off road? I have about 1500 miles on mine (bought it late fall in Illinois) but am looking forward to getting it off road a bit. Lead the way.. :)
@2WR7 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! You're right...the world around is slow when you're riding this bike. As for off road...stay tuned...some upcoming videos will reveal that I've been "outfitting" the 1290 to make it more off road ready.
@dh-flies7 жыл бұрын
Sounds good. You''ll have appropriate weather to ride way before me. I have exactly ZERO miles on my Heidenau K60 Rear and my TKC80 up front and am dying to try out these tires off road. I may bring the KTM down to Bike Week in Daytona this year and head to Ocala Nat'l Forest from some dirt road & trail (sand) riding. I have plans for Colorado and Moab this summer. I need some saddle time or I'm sure to die...lol. This is a lot of bike for an old dude. But I sure do love it!
@2WR7 жыл бұрын
Just spoke with the Heidenau rep over the weekend at the bike show. Really nice guy and I've heard great things about that Scout K60. I've been kicking around the idea of bike week, maybe for a few days. Colorado and Moab will be great. We're planning on the West Coast for our big trip this year but haven't really started plotting it out yet. Hope you get plenty of seat time on it this year!
@dandersonjr5 жыл бұрын
So something I've noticed and can't figure out why after watching several of your videos but whats up with the KTM cover over your front brake resevoir?
@2WR5 жыл бұрын
1) in theory it blocks UV rays from breaking down the brake fluid 2) the brake fluid is a tad discolored (due to the rubber they use) and looks ugly 3) it's basically just for cosmetic purposes. I have one on the rear one as well.
