I’ve gotten back into the hobby recently and i got 2 for my younger brothers. What 3s battery do you recommend for these? I know the older one would love the extra speed eventually. Great video btw 👍👍👍

@@csrrr_7762 I used a 1500mah 30c 3s plane battery in this because I had one laying around. But it won't give you much run time. 1500mah. So maybe a couple of packs? They can be brought from any good model shop.

Can someone explain the difference between 2 and 3s and the battery to make the speed 25mph to 42mph as im new to rc and need help. Also how much cost difference would it be.

A 2s battery has 2 cells, and 3s battery has 3 cells. Making it a higher voltage battery. The C rating on the batteries is the continuous burst the battery can give. Hence, the speed difference, 25 mph to 42 mph. Hope this helps.

@@MaxGillett-ty7sy There are loads available on the market, it comes down to budget and will it fit? Issues with this car is the battery compartment is small. The 3s that will fit will most likely be a (plane battery) Which would mean low MAH. (2500mAh - 3000 mAh), Resulting in shorter run time but a faster car.

@@MaxGillett-ty7sy I didn't go out my way to purchase a battery for this. I used a 1500mAh 3s 30c rated plane battery from one of my RTF planes. The battery comes with the plane. The brands called predator. I know this may not be the exact information you wanted but I am just being honest as possible. I have put a link to a similar battery below, Double check your battery tray measurements to see if this will fit. me personally wouldn't spend too low a price for that type or similar style of RC . There is such an abundance of choice and quality in RC'S , i would buy something of a little higher quality and price 🤔 . If we are talking bargain basements RC'S and low prices for example , you can buy a 16th scale FTX TRACER brushed model for £60 . But me personally if was buying an FTX model truck , buggy , truggy etc , i would spend higher on something like their FTX ZORRO for around £220 or £230 . I buy RC'S that are cheap quality value , but those RC'S are a little more to my liking and particular tastes in RC'S 🤔 .

There are loads of RCs available, and everyone has different tastes. There's nothing wrong with that! But for someone new to the hobby, this really isn't a bad platform, and it's quick, too. Everyone has different budgets. As long as people enjoy what they buy, that's what matters, I guess.

Long time rc builder and driver.. Have run a few 3s packs through mine, and it really is a stout little rc! Goes like the clappers on a 3s, and takes a beating surprisingly well! Ballraced, mid sized 3 wire servo and 4000kv-ish motor! I went with mine, over another Tamiya, if I'm honest.. and Im glad i did 😎
