I remember my funniest moment with Blade armor Back when Beatrix was the most op hero around that time and that shotgun was a nightmare for everyone I was using Thamuz, I had both blade armor and Queen's wings on me and I was farming on the red buff and a Beatrix tried to blast me with her shotty but she died right after That Blade armor passive mixed with the Demonize passive and killed her 💀

The big problem with blade armor is that it's for countering crits and basic attack only, with heroes having limited items, buying 1 piece of armor just to counter basic attacks is not really viable compared to antique cuirass which is an all around physical defense buff.

Using blade armour with belerick basically makes the enemy dps heroes useless in teamfights So it can be very good depending on the situation and sometimes you can even find dps in all the enemy lanes 😂😂

Well yes and no, When hit by a skill, reduces the attacker's Physical Damage by 6%. Yes it does only activate when hit by a skill, but you got to remember that all heroes uses a skill to deal damage Even if it's a basic attack based hero like a marksman, let's say Claude, he would still need to use his skill to deal try and deal maximum damage activating the antique cuirass Additionally, weapon passives from items like DHS which a marksman would use, counts as skill damage activating the antique cuirass passive, and has better performance compared to blade armor

Extra Tip: for countering Trinity build (or aka Attack SPD build), better use Antique Quirass since its attack effect is considered physical skills so it'll activates its physical damage reduction effect. Partnered with Dominance Ice, both will work as a bes counter against Trinity build

As an Edith user, I love Blade Armor 😍 Its my first Core Item every game, No matter the enemy (I know, It's wrong) But if they are all Magic Damage and skill-based then I will use Radiant Armor, But if they have Natan, You know it, I will use Blade Armor, Dominance, Oracle, Holy Crystal and Starlium Scythe. I mean Have any of you tested it out in Practice? A Full stack Radiant armor with Blade Armor and the mentioned above can deal up to 1000+ True Damage, And not even counting the damage from her B.A and Passive 😍😍😍

As a tank roamer, I also use blade armor against fast hitting heroes even if they use trinity build. I find it impressive as a deterrent with punishing them using the return damage and it feels like antique cuirass is less effective against trinity builds due to hp based damage (I didn't test this thoroughly, only based on experience)

Its good to point out that BA doest give you HP so its always good to learn or consider this early game, you cant just build this as 1st tank item if you are going to die right away.

Blade armour is actually pretty useless. It's passive is not that effective. Mostly mm uses inspire and they also uses hass claw. So the damage from blade armour does nothing. And even though it has highest physical defence, malefic roar counters it pretty badly. So it's useless item. It's only good for tanks like gatot and baxia. Otherwise it doesn't have a hp stat so it's useless for other tanks. They need to change its passive or remove this item and bring the other good item that can replace it

As much as its a valuable phy defense item against basic atkers, once they all get malefic roar in their builds.. it kinda just crumbles, and especially if the marksmen have lifesteal on top of it to mitigate the little to no dmg on the blade armor's reflect, and also quite literally not able to reflect the dmg of trinity users AT ALL cuz it only counts for the basic atk dmg, and not the item effects. If they truly want this item to be a staple anti-mm, they should atleast reflect a little bit of the basic atk effects too, its a reason why trinity heroes are more favored than crit heroes nowadays bcs of how blade armor works

if they combine blade armor effect with reduce healing of dominance it would be very good item (remove aspd passive from dominance and make own item for itself), since lifesteal/healing is very strong in mobile legend unlike other moba. buying blade armor itself sometime isnt worth since it easily countered by single haas claw

If the enemy has emblem or items that have more “extra” hp than you have then the damage boost kicks in, example : using any hero without a single emblem or item that gives hp, and an enemy hero has vitality in their emblem that gives 225 hp, your damage boost now activates… not that hard to understand

When they have more extra HP then you, not counting their base HP. For example you have no emblems and items that gives HP and your enemies are the same, no dmg boost. If you had 250 extra HP and enemies had lesser Extra HP, no dmg boost. If you had 250 ex HP and enemies had 500 ex HP, dmg boost is only applied now

It just provide a nuance of protection in an actual game. In High Elo game, this is useless against the very hero that this item was designed to counter. It may provide some use if you get your full build up which is very late in the game. Otherwise, you'd have this as 3rd or 5th item and the enemy MM is already full built with potion and an aegis.

if its before revamp belerick, he's the biggest menace for blade armor because of the fact his passive did not have a cooldown. old belerick: Receives 30% more HP from equipment items. The Flower of Life deals 50 + 1.5% of max HP in Magic Damage to the nearest target, every time receives 200 damage. The Flower of Life prioritizes targets that have been implanted marked by Nature's Seed. current belerick: For every 50 damage inflicted upon Belerick, he has a 25% chance to shoot the nearest enemy unit, dealing Magic Damage equal to 55 (+5 × Hero Level) plus 1.8% of his Max HP (scales with level). In each 0.4 seconds, this attack can be triggered once only. His HP obtained from Equipment and Emblems is increased by 30%. keep in mind that belerick had multiple hp growth and base hp nerfs. and old ult was a heal, with damage reduction that can also absorb damage from teammates (within the ult range 40%)

I think dominance ice is actually a bad combo for blade armor. Its passive reduces the enemy attack speed which will decrease the chance of blade armor returning damage because the enemy attack speed is reduced.

Most of mlbb players thinks that blade armor can be useful against basic attack non critical heros in 1v1 like for example against trinity argus and sun Thamuz , it's pretty useless and it passive will not do anything to argus With immortality and sun with high mobility and his clones will slow you a lot and thamuz the return passive damage will probably do nothing not a scratch to thamuz even to lifestel it , or sun basically can return this slightly damage using demon hunter life steal and his clones will also do the job.
