At 1:57 that switch is hooked into the factory alarm so it’ll go off if the hood is open when the car is on the locked position. I recommend unplugging the MAIN alarm system. If you want t to know how (to prevent random alarms & it going off at the wrong time). Please PM me, I’m a Mercedes BENZ ASE Diesel Technician.

Hey Jeff the Diesel Technician....Do you know where I can find / buy Wiring Diagrams for a 560 SEL. And where can I buy Blade Fuses? Because when I spoke with Mercedes parts dept, they said I need to bring the car in. So, that did not make sense, except new repair business sense. Thanks ..>Bryan......bryanthebroker@gmail.com.

The heater fans on those have a tendency to sieze up. that heats up the fusable link then burns out the little fuse too. The clicking is a small solinoid that controls the directional flaps. The burnt fuse holder in the middle of the fusebox is usually the fan fuse. Check the inside of the fusebox lid (or cardboard sheet) for the fuse index. Do not put the big 25a fuses into the heater motor fuseholder to overcome the fuse blowing or it will melt the fuse holder. if you have to take the fan motor out to free it up you can put the motor in a vice at an angle and lube the bearings and use an electrical drill on the end of the shaft and free it up. We have even had to take out the fuse panel from the box and put in an inline fuse when the fuse holder has melted.

True.....never use or keep a higher amp fuse in because it will cause overheating & possibly melt the housing. The key is to locate the Voltage Drop location. There are many videos only of how to conduct a Voltage Drop test. Key is to see how many apparatus are connected to the same fuse.

Hey, Nate- how are you? On my '89 Buick Reatta- it has a similar single blade terminal wire, same side, just like that *@**1:56*. It is for powering the Fuel Pump for diagnostics, and at the Lansing, MI Craft Centre where it was *hand built* (no robots) they would use it to make sure the pump ran; just apply 12v DC to it (on *_my_* car anyway).

Have you come across a situation where the blower motor wouldn't stop blowing, even w/ car off, and only way to stop it was to disconnect the battery?

So where would this be located on a 1984 300SD? I think mine broke and can't find it at all.

Could this also be the problem that the tachometer aint working in a 1985 MB 230e?

+GMC SUBURBAN is your abs light on? how is your cold engine iddling? to low or just right? most of the time tachometer problems and abs light problems are caused by the overvoltage protection relay behing the battery. the silver relay with the fuse on top of it. you aint seen anything on it but most of the time they are broken,. just replace it with a one that you need for sure that is it good.
