to put it more accurately: whenever you apply March's shield on someone, their chance of getting hit multiplies by 500%. if you apply her shield to 3 different characters, all of their aggro values will be multiplied by 500%, the second they entirely lose the shield applied by March, be it by breaking it or it running out, their aggro goes back to normal. Right at the end of the video where Blade died, I honestly kinda predicted that they were gonna hit March and immediately Blade afterwards... Because March's aggro value is 150 base just for being a preservation character, with her shield on her aggro is at 750. The second they broke March's shield her aggro went back to 150 and Blade being a Destruction character has the second highest base aggro value of 125. you can easily find all the different base aggro values of every Path if you check the Honkai fan wiki. and that's how March 7th's taunt works

eyyyyyyy you got the boy lets goooo! also: preservation characters have a higher base chance of getting hit, and specifically with march, if you shield a character with her skill and their hp is above 30%, they are more likely to get hit blade usually works better with healers instead of shielders, because march and gepard's can be too strong, and while the mc's shield could work, when she uses her e, she gets a taunt which makes the enemy more likely to target her instead of blade so i guess mess around and see what you like best! looking forward to the future episodes especially once you get kafka 🙏

Congrats on getting Blade! About his Hp loss mechanic He Just needs to lose hp and NOT stay at low health. He gains nothing from being low Hp , only when he takes damage(The gain being his next Burst deals more damage) TL;DR: Let him take damage but heal him when possible

I know you said you don't want help but I do want to mention one thing , when March or any character for that matter gives a shield/obtains a shield, the character with the shield has a higher chance of getting hit

Don’t use Preservation characters with blade. No March or Fire MC. Reason: To use his talent, he needs to get hit 5 times. Preservation characters naturally have a higher chance of being hit than Blade. Which makes him lose damage.

Early on just stack as many HP relics stats+sub stats on him as possible, survivability and DMG goes way up,then in the future when you get those sweet CR/CD pieces you can complete his build

the 3 star lightcone "Mutual Demise" is the best one for Blade, bar Arlan's signature lightcone (which is still better to keep on Arlan if you have it) and of course, his signature banner lightcone being the best one, Blade does not have many good lightcone options, and the 24% crit helps him a ton. Also if you get to world 7 on Sim Universe, that's where Blade's best relic set is.

I had the exact same dialog interaction with Yukong that you had at the start of the video, except I use the JP voices Yukong literally sounds so much more chearful in the japanese version for some reason, it's the same with Natasha's VA actually. in the JP version her morbid self depricating dialog is portrayed as a chearful comment on the fact she's accepted that she no longer belongs to the stars, with just a hint of jealousy about the fact Stelle is a part of the express. it's wild how the exact same dialog for some reason gives an entirely different meaning just by changing the voice actor.. Makes me a bit worried that internally Hoyo has close to no instructions on how the characters are actually supposed to feel when giving the VA's instructions..

I've noticed that with pretty much all the JP dialogue when compared to the EN. The JP dub as a whole kind of seems more muted/detached and less emotional in general. I dunno if it's a cultural thing, but it results in the majority of the cast feeling way less distinct than in the English version. Even Blade is less edgy, which is frankly unforgivable in my eyes.

@@flarpo11 interesting opinion, never though about it that way. while I personally disagree, I feel like in turn the VA's not being edgy makes them feel more human, I get your point. But it's not a 1 to 1, Dan Heng is actually much edgier in the japanese version, Arlan is much more mature, Sampo and Tingyun appear shrewder... I feel like it's really not that JP is more "cheerful" per say, it's that the VA's themselfs get to decide on how to express their characters, the japanese voice actors are in general a lot more experienced than the english ones by shear proxy of how Japan operates, (they get a lot more work..) and I think they have a better idea of where to take their characters than the english VA's, except Qingque, her EN VA is the canon one and no one's proving me wrong

@@samsemy6825 That's fair, it's entirely possible that it's the English cast that are going off-script and the Japanese version is more accurate. I just personally prefer the personalities of the English performances. I haven't been through the entire game in Japanese (despite actually speaking a fair bit of the language), so I may have only experienced the handful of instances where the JP happened to be less enjoyable (English Phantylia is so much more imposing, and Blade's smoker laugh is a thing to behold). Side note: As a Japanese dub enjoyer, maybe you can explain this to me: Why is the debate always English vs Japanese and never English vs Mandarin? The game is from China, so it's not like it's a sub vs dub situation. Does it just make the game feel more like an anime or something?

When your using blade it's ok to heal him otherwise people won't say he's best matched up with loucha since he needs to keep losing hp to build up stacks. Also he doesn't go well with shielders since he will only gain stacks when he loses hp which is why you gain a stack when you use enhanced basic attack and using skill. When your using his ult it should depend on the situation like if your hp is below 50%and heals aren't available then use his ult to heal and if you want stacks and you're sure heals are available then do it. To sum it up, Blade is the opposite of Hu Tao he wants heals to build stacks safely and his burst sets his hp to 50%.

Take note from almost everyone in the comment section: Heal him to stack up more damage for his ulti. The more damage he eats through the battle, the stronger his ult is (but it has a limit). So healing him is never a bad idea but putting a shield on him is. Because he needs his health to drop and a shield will drop first before his health (except for when he damages himself, it will always eat his own health instead of the shield, like Arlan). Edit: Another note, his ult will always ALWAYS set you to half health, doesn't matter if you're above or below 50% of his max hp. If your below half, it will heal you and it counts as a heal, if it's above half, it will damage you to half and it counts as damage. Keep that in mind if you're planning to do Simulated Universe.

If I am not mistaken March shield causes enemies to hit the person shielded more. So even if a character doesn't need a shield u can shield them just so the enemy is less likely to attack someone else

He's super versatile and fun to play with Quick tip: If you want your Blade to get hit more, don't use preservation character since they have the highest taubat value. Dont worry about healing blade. Heal him, he doesnt needs to be on low health (infact his number one companion is luocha lmao). But he needs to get his hp lowered continuesly to get his follow up stacks (so shielding him is not a good idea) and since march is a preservation character u might want to put them in separate teams (presevation characters have higher aggro than destruction units, more likely to get hit) or u might want to put them near eachother in party screen so he can get attacked by aoe attacks aswell. For the build go for hp%, crit and spd (since his dmg scale from hp more, atk is not that importent) one last thing, if you want to get the best value from his ulti dont use it right away if you arent in urgent need. Because his ulti dmg scale of the total hp lost in that battle (90% of his hp max) if you are still early in the battle wait for him to take some dmg or use his skill so you can get way better dmg out of it :) (you can see how much hp blade lost in the battle from character info)

Congrats on getting Blade also Quick tip Kets having March on the team is bad for Blade since he wants to lose health and shields prevent that but even if u shield the others instead of Blade its still Bad cause March's skill gives agro to the person she's shielding so Blade will get less likely to be hit

HEY, JUST SO YOU KNOW: you can heal Blade! He doesn't need to have low hp to deal dmg. He shouldn't have a shield either. He should be paired with a healer instead. Blade /needs/ to be hit to make dmg, but he doesn't need to have low hp. His dmg increases the more overall hp he loses in the battle. 🦭

Preservation characters are more likely to get hit than destruction characters which is why blade gets hit less. Also he works best with healers instead of shielders but if you really need a shield a weak shield from mc is probably better than march. Arlan scales damage from low health, Blade scales damage from getting hit. Its perfectly fine to heal him.

No Arlan Scales with low Health, Blade Ult gets stronger the more damage he takes between Ults. Everything else is just HP% and a little Atk% heal him all you can. His Ult SETS his Health to 50% so if he is above he loses health and below he "heals". His Counter Straight up heals.

this is a tip from someone who uses blade a lot. if you want blade to get hit specially with AOE attacks i think its better to have stelle as a preservation unit with him. this is how you position your team comp : stelle, blade, bailu, bronya (this is the best team i can think of right now with your current team comp) the reason why this positioning is good is stelle can taunt all the units with AOE and once the enemies with AOE attacks stelle it can also damage blade . and also stelle doesn't give much shield to her allies so blade will almost always getting end up damaged with minimum risk. hope you enjoy his chaotic gameplay

Stack blades HP, while also giving him a bit of defense. Man needs a LOT of HP. Blades slow so its best he gets hit the most to trigger his follow up attack. Now traces, focus on his ULT, talent and skill. Relics, you need attack, speed boots and a crit rate body. Blade is a god unit, so he needs them stats.
