He has a Soul...And One woman just erased all his Soul clung to😢

This randomly occurred to me: "Ken and Officer K are not only played both by Ryan Gosling, but they live through comparable stuff." *Officer Ken in "Barbie Runner 2049"* Officer KD6-3.7 aka. Officer K, also known as Officer Ken or "good Joe" has a problem. He is a hand made plastic replicant from Mattel. His also very artificial girlfriend Joi (artificial joy) - who by the way is a mass produced untouchable avatar, has a split personality, where she turns into Barbie and takes Officer Ken for granted and ignores all his emotional needs. Offiicer Ken realizes that he gets friendzoned or rejected by a computer generated product he specifically bought because he feels emotionally abandoned and wishes to be the legendary "plastic replicant with a soul" - which leads him in the end to realize that he doesn't need a soul, because he is kenough.(or Obiwan Kenoughwbi - also known as Ben Kenobi or Ben or Joe - or Banjo (Kazooie) - sorry my brain is telling me random puns) Also he realizes by interacting with giant, naked Joi-advertisement with void black eyes, that his A.I. girlfriend doesn't care which name he has, she is just programmed to name the customer "Joe" - Joi is as soulless and an giant, naked A.I. Barbie for boys could be. - I wonder why Mattel never thought about that market niche. Just paint sell undressed Barbies with soft, silicone filled rubber skin, who speaks to you words of appreciation, care and love, as some kind of therapeutic toy for emotionally abandoned boys who just want a hug a day. To make them aware that they are just customers, and if they cannot affort a "Naked A.I. Girlfriend Barbie", they have to stay rejected and depressed forever. - which, if you really think about it, Joi actually is made for. If you can afford Joi, you have actually some kind of emotional relationship with a therapeutic A.I. toy. ________________________________________________________________________________side note: Btw. have you ever thought about that the replicants are we ourselves, who feel estranged by the industrial society? - Forced into the roles of random numbers ( - like KD6-3.7) who have just to function and be soulless laborers, and thus wish to be humans - live like them who use them for their interests and are claiming to have a soul. What is the perfect soldier? Who follows perfectly all orders like a machine. He doesn't get PTSD from all the shit he has to do, see, hear and go through. He is just a expendable and replaceable, murderous weapon. - He has to become a soulless replicant.Who is the perfect prostitute? She fulfills perfectly all demands like a machine. She never gets PTSD from all the shit she has to do, see, hear, and go through. She is just a expendable and replaceable, horny fuck-doll. - She has to become a soulless replicant. Policemen, Elite-Soldiers, Workers, Prostitutes are just job titles of those in the real world and in the dystopian Blade Runner universe, who fulfill the needs of those who pay them. There are treated in the real world as replicants. The very name "replicants" shouts: "expendable and replaceable!" ________________________________________________________________________________transition: - No wonder certain replicants wishes to have a soul and get treated with dignity, appreciation and respect. Also Ken wishes to be treated by Barbie with appreciation and respect and don't get taken for granted by Barbie; as for all the Barbies, "Barbieland" is a perfect Utopia - while all the Kens feel like really not treated like humans, but as sidekicks, whom the Barbies can treat as negligible. - I really got angry right at the second Barbie emotianally rejected Ken and said to him, she doesn't want him to be there at her place - while enjoying every fucking night "girls-night" with all the other Barbies. Like WTF - is this really what Barbie is like as a person?! A self-absorbed naricisst, who doesn't care about her partner and rejects his needs? - I mean Ken appreciates and praises Barbie for her Barbie-ness and cares about her, wants to help her and be a comrade and boyfriend. But she can't see him as Ken, but belittles him and is annoyed by him when he behaves like he is her boyfriend. No wonder Ryan Gosling had to play both characters - it's just heartbreaking - if you have a soul! *- so Officer Ken is as the internet likes to say: "literally me".* Thank you for reading.

I read it all, even though I watched Blade Runner but not Barbie, those are some great analogies between the two films. Might really be the reason why they chose Ryan Gosling as Ken
