2manyusarnames That's because it's a TEASER not a full trailer. It doesn't come out for another 8 months, so of course they aren't showing much right now. It would be far too preemptive to show alot of footage this early in the game. Just wail until about 2 or 3 months before the release date. There'll be 2 or 3 full trailers released, all of which will show waaay too much footage. It's a rated-R film, so it must be marketed and promoted HARDCORE in order to get unfamiliar newbies (not just older fans of the original) to buy tickets.

2manyusarnames Just be disciplined and stay away from the next couple of trailers for this movie. It will be very tempting to say fuck it and watch, but try your best. Here are some tips: 1.On KZbin over the next 8 months, don't click on any of the new trailers or "EXCLUSIVE SNEAK-PEAK" vids. There will an influx of trailers/teaser footage uploaded throughout spring and summer, particularly August and September. 2. If watching TV, Change the channel immediately when those 30-sec trailer ads start running during commercial breaks- I don't watch much live tv, so this won't be an issue for me 🙄 3. When at the theatre, If the trailer comes on during previews (and they most definitely will, especially if the movie you bought a ticket is in a similar genre to Blade Runner ((action based, Sci-fi, rated R)) Look away from the movie screen, pop in your earphones, blast some tunes, and check your Facebook. 😂😂 It will take some serious diligence, but it'll be well worth the effort. You'll be even more awestruck and transfixed by the movie when you see it Oct 6! Cheers 😛😛

Hahaha for me? This wont be a problem i can assure you. 1. I dont watch trailers anymore. (only watched this one cus a friend told me to) 2. TV? Really? Thats sooo early 2000.. (i actually havnt even connected the satellite cable into my tv) 3. Theatre? NO WAY im going there. I allways get dissapointed. Its expensive and annoying in every way. The only reason i can come up with to go to the theatre is if i will get laid doing it... ;) Sorry for bad grammar english is not my native language =)

120percentNick No, but minding that most replicants eventually die, we can say they do age. Besides this, their organic structure makes it absolutely possible, unlike in Terminator: Genesis, in which the protagonist cyborg somehow managed to age, despite being made of metal.

@HoundTakeshi 6 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't say uninspired. Hans still kept his own style with couple o' nods to Vangelis, i found his score very balanced and humble, not as grandiouse as the first score, but still great. However, i'm still curios of the works Jóhann Jóhannsson did for this movie. I hope they'll release it as an extra.
@Lord_Procrastinator

In my opinion, Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch's score is the weakest part of Blade Runner 2049. I keep listening to the original score by Vangelis back-to-back with this new score and I can't help but find it so utterly bland, devoid of life, and overall ugly (with very very few exceptions). What Jóhann did for Arrival makes me feel like he could've delivered a 100% better score than the one we got (I, of course, would've loved to have Vangelis back for this movie). I was so sad when he died because Jóhann was easily one of the best composers of our time. I wish we could listen to Jóhann's music for this movie and for Aronofsky's mother! (which he completed but was told to scrap) but, at this point, I'm afraid these last pieces of music are lost in time, like tears in rain.

Tbvfh the whole movie and "IP" (oh ye gods, talking about Blade Runner "IP", like it's yet another generic entertainment "product") should stay frozen in time and NONE WHATSOEVER would have complained. Denis Villeneuve, one of the most promising directors of new generation. Absolutely loved Arrival and Prisoners and also his other works are good. FREAKING Harrison Ford is back. Ryan Cosling is imo one of the most talented young actors. It also has other pretty good actors, just check in IMDb. And also even legendary cinematographer, Roger Deakins is in. I don't give about single f*ck about how many sequels they are coing to do for classics as long as they are GOOD. Blade Runner 2 has incredible team backing it, it might not catch the cuality of the first film but it will NOT be total failure either. I am excited. 2017 is coing to be crazy.

Ryan looks too much like a teen model for the gritty world of Blade Runner. Disappointed that he'll be the focus. And can Harrison do any other act? He's been playing the same character for twenty years.

I could have done a backflip when I heard that Villeneuve and Deakins were helming this thing. This trailer just further proves they are the men for the job. I can't wait to finally see what they pull off with this license.

I believed the soundtrack of this early teaser was done by Johann Johannsson, the style is totally different from the Hans + Benjamin's final soundtrack. Cos I'm digging that compressed sound effect in the background which is almost like the sound of Geiger Counter, it's a shame Johann died too early.
@axxa5000

Agreed. I love how diegetic the samples in the trailer sounded. He was a gifted composer without a doubt, his work for 2018's Mandy are some my favorites from him. I certainly enjoyed BR 2049's sound, especially in IMAX, but one could not help but wonder what Johannsson's interpretation of that world would've sounded like. BR 2049's score sounded reminiscent of powerful engines and heavy industrial machinery, while Johannsson seemed like he was potentially leaning into wave signals and electronics. Or so I'd like to think haha. Damn, his death was such a loss for art, truly.

@@axxa5000 Same here, Mandy was dope I even wonder if Johann dipped his nose in some kind of powder in order to make music like that. As for the soundtrack of BladeRunner 2049, it was enjoyable but also quite predictable where Hans kindda evolved a bit from the Vangelis and bring in the signature engine sound like what he did for Man of steel. I'm quite dissapointed in Hans as he didnt deliver much new elements in recent years, Dune was a huge turn off for me. Johann on the other hand was evolving but it's a shame God took him from us, left us with Mandy as an trippy ending note.

There's only like, 3 versions of it, or something. Personally, I prefer the original theatrical version with the "commentary" by Harrison Ford. I hope you like it. If you're a reader, you might also like the book it's based on. Very different from the movie, but also very worth at least one read.

Mark Bouwman I'm with you that the film is so different that it stands alone but I'm thinking more in terms of like nods to the book world. I'm so hopeful for this sequel but the sceptic in me is pretty loud too. Going on the trailer it does look very loyal to the original.

I was 15 when I watched the original BR here in Belgium. When I left the theatre I was another person, the movie astunned me in many ways; emotional by the magic of the scenes together with the soundtrack. Like a very famous band at that time sung: IT'S A KIND OF MAGIC. Now i'm almost 50 and very excited about BR 2049… goose bumps while watching the trailer ...
