Jackwolf purple Haze folder!! 🔥🔥🔥 The southern grind was nice but it's just too big to have s90 I don't know why all these makers are going to s90 it's great for cardboard I don't know. Just not a big fan of s90. It's all right on the jack wolf. S90 definitely chips even if you hit a staple. It's just not tough at all. I think once all this s90 gets out and people's using it, it'll get back to the makers.

Those Protech knives look great but the last three magnacut protech knives i bought all came so dull out of the box they would not even slice paper! Thankfully BladeHQ gave a $50 refund due to me having to sharpen them right out of the box before i could even use them! Specifically the models were two striders and one runt all of them i could literary run the edge with pressure across my skin and not cut myself...

The Pro-Tech guy was awesome and really knows his brand. Really digging the new designs even though I can't afford any of them...yet. Pro-Techs are heirloom knives and much like a Saddleback Leather satchel or bag, your family will fight over them when you're dead. Jack Wolf - oh man, that guy just sold me on his new flipper design and his slip joints are like he dragged my Grandpa's entire Case knife collection into the future. Just outstanding work from a dedicated professional and real value for the money. I don't even know how much the new flipper costs and I'm already saving up for one. Microtech can burn for all I care now and I hate that I have to write this. I bought one of their Ultratech S/E OTFs made 12/2017 (SN# 87332) many years ago in 2018 and a few months later the spring broke. Microtech went radio silent on all my emails to them about acquiring a replacement spring so I put it in a drawer until 2022 when I came across compatible springs online from somewhere non-Microtech and ordered a set. A week later and my Ultratech was finally working again but I just can't trust it enough to carry it outside the house so it just sits around collecting dust. And it really sucks because I'm originally from the Fayetteville, NC area and really wanted to support a NC knifemaker like I do with Council Tools which is about an hour from the family homestead. But their spring quality on that particular knife was so bad that I can't trust them. It was RUSTED even though it never went near water! And then there's the silly tri-wing screws on it which really bugs me. If it requires a special tool just to open a knife for basic maintenance and cleaning then I don't want it. But hey, at least it looks nice enough I guess. A Benchmade Bugout w/titanium scales I slapped on later for added heft/feel rides in a horizontal carrier on my belt whenever I leave the house as my EDC beater. It's dead reliable with a good edge that I can easily keep sharp, well-suited for daily cutting tasks. Expensive for what it is but Benchmade knew what they were doing with this one which explains why they're so popular and imitated by other knifemakers.
