It's actually the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro gaming mouse. We had a last minute change in our setup gear!

@@Trollwut You nailed, it, thanks for pointing it out. BTW, what is your setup if you don't mind posting the details?

@@justme0098 sure mate, glad to help! I'm a software dev / IT admin and also hardcore gamer. So I try to get the best of both worlds: ASUS G15 Notebook with an i9 12th gen (would rather have a Razer for full setup). This has a Thunderbolt 4 for my Razer Core X Chroma eGPU RTX 3080. This way I have a near full performance of a desktop PC while also being very mobile. I LOVE it! I also began to recently really like Thunderbolt. I only have to plug in 2 cables (charger + Thunderbolt eGPU) and have everything for the setup. Other periphery would be: Huntsman V2 keyboard + Viper Ultimate mouse (in quartz because I'm crazy). On the eGPU I got 3 USB Hubs connected, which is sometimes a bit finnicky, but it works. Next step: Getting a Thunderbolt Dock (preferably from Razer) to then daisy-chain everything with my eGPU. 🙂 I'm also keen on looking what Thunderbolt 5 will bring. Especially more bandwith would make eGPU setups even more great!

I have a HP Probook laptop that docks with a "USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port (Power delivery, DisplayPort 1.2)". I can get 2 external displays over the 1 USB-C cable. My MacBook Pro uses Thunderbolt and I can not get 2 external displays using that dock. Is there a dock that would support both types, so I can get 2 external monitors over 1 cable and just change that 1 cable between laptops depending on which I want to use?
@GetThunderbolt Жыл бұрын
Your best bet is to look for a docking station that supports both USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. This will ensure compatibility with both your HP Probook and MacBook Pro laptops. Note that to ensure maximum compatibility and performance, HP recommends using an HP-branded USB Type-C power adapter and cable. Assuming your not trying to use two 4K monitors that may need Thunderbolt, this should be fine.

Hi and thanks for the review. Does this Razer blade have problems like the Razer blade 2022 AMD edition to connect from USB4 to displayport? It turns out that in that model the USB4 ports only connect to the internal AMD graphics and not to the Nvidia video card, in order to use the Nvidia video card only the HDMI 2.1 port works and because of this i cant' use the gsync and the high refresh rates of my external monitor since most monitors are capable of using gsync and high refresh rates only via displayport

Hello, I got a Blade 15 with thunderbolt 4. Can I connect a 4K Monitor at 144hz using Thunderbolt?
@GetThunderbolt Жыл бұрын
Yes, it is possible to connect a 4K monitor at 144Hz using Thunderbolt 4, but it would depend on the hardware / the dock being used. For example, it was confirmed that the CalDigit TS4 should support dual 1440p 144Hz monitors

Hi! I have essentially this same setup. When laptop goes to sleep …monitor connected to DP in back of Caldigit TS3+ seems to loop the connecting/disconnecting noise while screen is off. Any tips? Essentially, I hear a constant noise of connecting disconnecting when my laptop falls asleep, and I think it has something to do with the monitor?

If you are using the same monitor, we didn't have this issue so it's likely a problem with the dock or monitor and you may need to troubleshoot with those companies to find out.
