Toni Castillo- you are correct. He showed Miranda love because he was devoted to her and attracted to her. She betrayed him badly, and he divorced her. I am happy that he is not bitter and can show Gwen the same love and devotion. The difference is that he also has appreciation in his eyes when he looks at Gwen because he knows she feels the same way and will be loyal to him. They are also a better fit personality wise and have called each other best friends. They have a more well rounded relationship than just love and lust.

Yep. We see how that ended. Miranda started taking his devotion for granted and had a months long affair with Ryan Westbrook, her married tour manager. Blake was very hurt and humiliated and divorced her. She gets her kicks going after married/taken men (including Blake in his first marriage and Evan Felker). Then she gets bored with them. The difference with the looks is that not only does he look at Gwen with love, devotion and attraction like he did Miranda, but he also looks at Gwen with appreciation because he knows she feels the same way and will be loyal to him.

Debra- Thank you for saying this. People are too hung up on the perfect public image and fantasy. Some just refuse to believe that you can be attractive together and sing well together, and yet not be good partners for one another. If you don’t mesh well with personalities, morals, and life goals, the relationship can never be sustained. Blake and Gwen have a firm foundation based on faith, family, friendship, and loyalty, not just love and lust. They call each other best friends.
