As a Laker fan, all I can say is that this was expected this season and I had to come to grips with this fact. But while the clippers are the better team, lets see how far they can go with their talent. Because in the past when Lakers were the stacked team most of the time they were a true powerhouse. From magic, kareem, nixon, jamaal, worthy, Scott, cooper, rambis, green, to shaq, kobe, fox, horry, shaw, and then kobe, pau, bynum, fisher, everyone knew the west was coming through the Lakers. So the way is open for the clippers to build a dynasty, but lets see what happens. Go Lakers.

I agree that the lakers are rebuilding, and i also agree that they signed Kobe to too much money. But do you know Kobe? Of all the players in the NBA, do you think he was happy with a pay cut? I'm not saying he isn't selfish, but it was either pay up or watch him leave in spite. If this same team didn't have Kobe on the Injured list, I'd be significantly more inclined to agree with you about next year's chances. But as it is, it looks like we're gonna get a pretty damn good draft pick. And maybe Pau has it in him to give the Lakers the same thing Tim Duncan gave to the Spurs... a bargain superstar. It's a lot to ask, but I think he might just do it when his contract is up this summer, provided we sign someone else legit (which we've been clearing a lot of cap space to do)
