The fact that Blake's camp is now trying to claim that Justin fat-shamed her because he asked his personal trainer if he was allowed to lift her for a scene and how he could spare is back (he has herniated disks and even received stem cell-therapy for the constant pain) is just so vile! And of course also 'his kiss lingered too long" while there also is proof from the set that SHE was telling him how to hold and kiss her before a kissing scene with the intimicay counsellors around them. Rumor has it that Blake and her husband want the rights of the book series to make their own sequels...
@gretchenmanning83482 ай бұрын
That is so nauseating. Heard about the "fat-shaming". HER issues, not his. The guy has a legitimate physical health constraint. If you watch his videos, he and his wife are very healthy and into exercise with their family. He takes very good care of himself. The fact that he was literally controlled during every scene (particularly the physical ones) makes me feel for him even more. He was the director! The author should be ashamed for choosing celebrity over integrity...along with the other co-stars. I think Blake (and Ryan) revealed some true colors. They will be "has beens" in a year or two, and decent REAL people like Justin Baldoni will rise again. He is a very skilled actor/director. He will come out on top.

I get a lot of people like easy reads that are a little more basic, but it almost felt like I was being spoon fed a concept that I was far more capable of understanding than the writing allowed, almost like reading a 'for dummies' book for a subject you are knowledgeable in. I feel like the issue is that Blake has always wanted to be bigger than she is. She's not a great actress her acting skills have literally been the exact same. I've seen people talk about how her acting Scott and better it hasn't watch her and gossip girl watch her in the Green lantern and watch her in any other movie that she had done afterwards and she does the exact same thing. I feel like what she's good at is really just being pretty and being married to a very likeable man. Which is where I feel like the issue comes in when it comes to her. She sees the things that her husband does and how beloved Ryan is how he can sit there and not only be in movies and shows that people genuinely like and his personality is very shining even if there are questionable shit that both of them have definitely done. but he's also charismatic enough that he was able to sit there and convince a company that didn't want to come out with a movie to not only come out with movie but allow him to come out with sequels to that movie and be the one of the main producers and directors if I'm correct and it's blowing up and has done nothing but greatness for her husband and for her technically cuz they're both making Bank off of the entire Deadpool franchise. That I feel like she now wants to do that. From every video that I have watched about this from every tik Tok that I've seen it genuinely comes off as if she tried to just take over the entire project and when that didn't work she decided to go on a smear campaign against this man. Like I find it ironic that people have pointed out that this is someone who has talked about DV and promoted people getting help for it for about 10 or so years like almost a decade this is someone who's always taking their craft very seriously and who seems to be the only person genuinely talking about what the movie is about in terms of the DV in it how people can get help talking about questions he wishes people would stop asking or once you wish people would ask like he seems to be the only one taking any of this seriously which is ironic dealing that even the author seems to be like la di da di da. Then again I've never read any of her books mainly because I've never heard of one good thing about that woman either or her son so... Cast members and people not really talking about it. I feel like that makes sense because are you really going to try and go up against Blake and her husband Ryan who have their hands in like every freaking little thing it seems in Hollywood who are super popular if they what are companies / franchises you would consider them to be the Disney of their world not only from the movies and TV shows that they've been a part of things that they've produced let's not forget about the liquor brands the hair brand now the phone service like they have so many things under their belt which means that they probably have so many people in so many high places and all over the place when it comes to not just the entertainment industry that it wouldn't be hard for them to convince others who are working with them to take their side or to say Jack schitt about anything. She definitely gives off mean girl vibes like if things don't go her way she will legitimately be like well if you don't do this I will ruin your life. I'm dealing that I don't think I've ever seen her work with people who are within the same celebrity status as her like ever really she always seems to work with people who are below her and celebrity status making it easier for her to use that or hold that over their heads.
@mcpeewee6816 күн бұрын
I also agree with her thinking that's she more than she is. She's not a big movie star like her husband is in any way. She's known for gossip girl and "parts" in movies. She's not a leading lady. But here in this small movie she was, and all of the other people around her are her minions, so her britches got big. She thinks people like her simply because they like her husband. She thinks she's a leading lady just like her husband is a leading actor. She gets her glory from him and thinks she's on the same level & that people like her just like they like him. NOT However, she was the power player in this movie and it's not hard to get people on her side. Especially when he she brings her powerful husband in to help dictate what goes on behind the scenes. Of course, people are going to side with the power and the celebrity. They are concerned about their own careers.

So glad everyone is seeing what I am seeing. I think JB has done immense work in getting this movie made and as someone who has seen this, I thought it was a beautiful film. I agree with his sentiments that there are better actresses for a sequel and Blake is better placed as a director rather than the lead actress, definitely her drama takes away from the serious issues this movie addresses which only women suffering real life domestic abuse can understand. It's like holding onto anything that shows what real abuse is like, you feel like no one in the world can see or believe you because your partner appears so beautiful on the outside when he is a monster on the inside!! Blake and her husband who has nothing to do with anything should not be using this serious topic to promote themselves!!! Sad and pathetic.

I never thought Blake lively would behave this bad to ruin a movie she acts in.....domestic violence is a serious topic that cannot be romantized. Baldoni was giving the importance DV deserves..amd as much as i like ryan and blake...it ia very rude and offensive that ryan was messing with the script. Ryan should respect the director vision and blake's acting.

What no one knows is that the author says this and that about women but she had a girl message her about her son SA the girl and the author ignored her….the author didn’t say nothing for years later disclaimed she hadn’t read the messages but the girl showed proof the author indeed read her messages. That’s when I stop reading her books. Sadly is too late! look her books are becoming movies she is a millionaire, even if she had a down fall she already made that dough! Also don’t ask me well where is the proof! Just go look for it! Is a known thing.

Important context about Ryan Reynolds rewriting a scene: During the writer's strike all scripts were supposed to be locked with no edits occurring. And given the timeline of the movie, Ryan would have had to rewritten the scene during the strike, which is not only dishonest and disrespectful to the actual screenplay writer but to all the writers fighting for their jobs

I feel sorry for the main actor of her last film Justin Baldoni who is the director of the film and holds the rights to adapt the book to the cinema. She acts he doesn't exist in a very disrespectfully and unprofessional way. He shows the reality of the film and speaks out against domestic violence very accurately. Very disrespectful for this actress who wanted to take over his film he has been working for years. He talks about domestic violence, she's more about selling the film like Barbie with flowers and selling the beverage products and hair products along with the film's premiere. And the book writer selling nail polish and coloring books. He is a class act, mature with high emotional inteligence. His interviews of the film are the best.

It's Sad how the PR was handled for a Movie about DV 🥹 Blake Lively certainly showed how unprofessional she is and hasn't let go of her immature mean girl attitude. She didn't seem Empathetic towards Woman of Domestic Violence, Promoting It Ends With Us " Apparently Blake can't focus unless she's Bragging about her perfect life with hubby RR. She was blatantly rude to a young woman trying to interview her regarding the movie. Blake ignored any questions asked and kept laughing & talking to another female guest instead 🙄 Sorry but I was super disappointed with her insensitive behavior. It was a very bad look for this female author/writer of this book on DV also.

I Ryan and Blake did shows that they lacked respect for Justin. Now, I would question maybe Justin deserves it because maybe his view was poor but now seeing that he is only taking it seriously…we also see Ryan and Blake are narcissistic but rewriting and not telling Justin. They took over basically and it was disrespectful. The director is the boss…..😂 Ryan and Blake would never do that to Christopher Nolan or James Cameron . 100% Those directors will kick you out if Hollywood.,.not even Blake and Ryan would save safe if they disrespected a high up like that. Justin is new and doesn’t have the power so they felt comfortable making this “their” movie. Entitled brats. Also, I always question Blake as s person because she is so close to Taylor swift who is s know narcissist. Girl had no shame. Birds of a feather flock together. So now that it’s confirmed that Blake is an entitled b*** too….now we must question Ryan for being into a narcissist like that.

Even bad publicity is good publicity. If two adults have creative differences it is okay. If they approach the story from different angles, it might be just that. I personally believe that domestic violence should be taken seriously, but, maybe they are counting on the surprise effect so that people will watch it and think about it. What I would reflect on is the amount of hate towards a woman on her postpartum and the silent treatment towards a dedicated director. Both are wrong.

It's very telling that his cut tested better with audiences but Blakes is the one that made it... When he's the actual director. And why was Ryan Reynolds writing anything at all when his name is not on this film? I think this controversy does have a lot to do with the author becoming buddy buddy with the power couple and everybody else following suit. I believe they were trying to strong arm him out of this movie. As far as the side characters, they worked more with blake. She is one half of a power couple, and who are people going to side with? The barely known director or the power couple who has sway over not only the direction of the movie... But sway over the author of the actual book & sway over possible careers of others. Blake's reputation tanked because she's completely tone deaf and fans don't like it... And she wants full control over this movie & the sequel. That's been clear. This accusation, that she's put out to the press is actually pretty laughable if you break down the actual things she's accusing him of. Think about how over the top each and every accusation is. This is a grown man with a wife and kids who has never had issues in the past, but suddenly we are expected to believe that he couldn't control himself around Blake? Couldn't focus on directing the movie, which is his baby... all because he was having so much more fun harassing Blake or was obsessed with her? And we're supposed to believe that even after she held this emergency meeting, specifying rules and regulations that he completely ignored them and continued to harass her? Please. The accusations are completely far fetched. But radfems will completely buy what she's selling. Nothing like claiming victim to get a bunch of people to rally behind you when your reputation has been tanked, and your motivation has always been to take over these movies. Blake lively is full of something. HERSELF

5:22 Jenny’s answer surprised me. Not one complimentary word for the Director who most likely had a say on hiring her for this movie. What she did say though was short sighted. At the time no one knew all that we know today so her words are loaded with critique to Justin should stick with Directing or acting but not both 🙄 Tell that to other Director’s who starred as main character. I googled this info. There’s Barbara Streisand, Clint Eastwood, Danny Devito, Ben Affleck, Mel Gibson, Sylvester Stallone, Kevin Costner, Joel Edgerton, John Krasinski and Justin Baldini who I think did terrific acting and the Directing was good bc I walked into that movie only knowing that it was adapted from a book. I knew zilch of what it was about. I really really really liked it. It was an incredibly moving movie. For Jenny and the cast side with Blake loudly in public meant to ostracize Justin in public is disgraceful. Especially if it’s in fact about Blake felling fat shamed by Justin or that he kissed too long in a kiss. Singular kiss, not plural. These are things that are worked out amongst professionals and you move on, not creating drama and cliques like defensive bullies do. It’s too bad that the PR has gone south bc this might dissuade ppl from wanting to watch an otherwise, a good movie with a much needed message to those of us who have suffered DV.
