2 weeks before my Dad passed away, he mentioned that he absolutely loved this song. So he asked me to put it on every playlist that he had, and he kept it on repeat.... May 30, he left this earth for whatever comes next. And not a single second of each day goes by that I don't wish I could've gone with him. 💔 Blake, thank you for giving him a song that gave him peace that this is God's Country.♡♡♡

God has no commandment about being buried above or below the mason/ dixon line, however he does have a commandment about committing adultery, look it up , it is # 7 in the 10 commandments, unless you are a roman catholic ,the I think it might #6

Right outside of this one church town There's a gold dirt road to a whole lot of nothin' Got a deed to the land, but it ain't my ground This is God's country We pray for rain, and thank Him when it's fallen 'Cause it brings a grain and a little bit of money We put it back in the plate I guess that's why they call it God's country I saw the light in the sunrise Sittin' back in the 40 on the muddy riverside Gettin' baptized in holy water and shine With the dogs runnin' Saved by the sound of the been found Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound The Devil went down to Georgia, but he didn't stick around This is God's country We turned the dirt and worked until the week's done We take a break and break bread on Sunday And then do it all again 'Cause we're proud to be from God's country (Yeah, yeah) I saw the light in the sunrise Sittin' back in the 40 on the muddy riverside Gettin' baptized in holy water and shine With the dogs runnin' Saved by the sound of the been found Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around This is God's country (Yeah) God's country I don't care what my headstone reads Or what kind of pine wood box I end up in When it's my time, lay me six feet deep In God's country (Yeah, yeah) I saw the light in the sunrise Sittin' back in the 40 on the muddy riverside Gettin' baptized in holy water and shine With the dogs runnin' Saved by the sound of the been found Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound The devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around This is God's country (God's country) Yeah, I saw the light in the sunrise Sittin' back in the 40 on the muddy riverside Gettin' baptized in holy water and shine With the dogs runnin' Saved by the sound of the been found Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around This is God's country This took FOREVER plz like

@Connor Holan Hey Connor, I don't sweat countrygirl's insults as I've been called much worse by much better people than an inbred hick who married her brother who is the true Troll in this conversation as her comments were the only ones that were rude and "offensive" and I quote that word because I wasn't even close to being offended.

@countrygirl countrymusiclover 8 comments up when you were replying to Connor holan you said you have 5 kids, so I don't see where you're coming from with this "who has 5 kids?" shit. Also as a matter of fact I did take my pills, I took the same ones I have been taking for 4 years to keep my anxiety and adhd at bay. Is what I meant is that this is what may happen if one has more kids than average (which btw the average is 2). They become one who goes into a cussing fit over every little comment that effects them, continuously repeating the same things, usually how many kids they have and how special their family is, also these type like to tell people to "get a life". Sounds like you fit this position perfectly!

In 20 years, this decade will be "the good old days" . We always stress about our current problems, and when they get solved, forget all the stress they caused, and our new, yet unsolved problems seem much more complicated than our old solved ones. The 90s and 00s had their share of problems, but we think of them as "simpler times", despite the fall of the ussr, the Crimean war, genocides in East Europe, recessions, 9/11, wars in the middle East, Katrina, so on. It's our nature to be stressed and forget easily.

"God's country lyrics" [Verse 1] Right outside of this one church town There's a gold dirt road to a whole lot of nothin' Got a deed to the land, but it ain't my ground This is God's country We pray for rain, and thank Him when it's fallen 'Cause it brings the grain and a little bit of money We put it back in the plate I guess that's why they call it God's country [Chorus] I saw the light in a sunrise Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine with the dogs runnin' Saved by the sound of the been found Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around This is God's country [Verse 2] We turn the dirt and work until the week's done We take a break and break bread on Sunday Then do it all again 'Cause we're proud to be from God's country (Yeah) [Chorus] I saw the light in a sunrise Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine with the dogs runnin' Saved by the sound of the been found Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around This is God's country [Interlude] (This is God's country) God's country [Bridge] I don't care what my headstone reads Or what kind of pinewood box I end up in When it's my time, lay me six feet deep In God's country (Yeah) [Chorus] I saw the light in a sunrise Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine with the dogs runnin' Saved by the sound of the been found Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around This is God's country (God's country, I saw the light) Yeah, I saw the light in a sunrise Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine with the dogs runnin' (Yeah) Saved by the sound of the been found Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around This is God's country Credit: Genius You're welcome

To all of our farmers, truck drivers, nurses, doctors, oil workers, construction & tradesmen and women... all the folks who work in the shadows that make our world turn and run ... we see you. Keep fighting the good fight. This world would fail with out you. We need you. Thank you for the sacrifices you continue to make. It doesn't go unseen. God bless.
